I personally ditest trap17 because of it's clutter, it's impossibility to navigate, and the fact that admins like buffalohelp haven't been banned yet, as he abuses his power to the point of threatening free speech. Trap17 is way to orienated on its appeal, and not it's content, which is what's really important. If you make something flashy but pointless, all your doing is making idiots attracted to shiny things. This is my theory on why Buffalohelp remains on the forum. Also, if this post is deleted, this will just be proving that Trap17 cannot take constructive criticism, and that Buffalohelp is a power-hungry tyrant, bent on the destruction of free speech. Biscuitrat's opinion has no connection with our forums actually... You were talking about us getting our acts together not as a hosting company but as a forum right? Trap is a free hosting Company so OBVIOUSLY we are gonna lack in a .99% with other companies . I dunno, maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like you guys may have been over zealous with some of the responses.
Anyone who thinks trap17 is bad should go get hosted by atspace. Man I am convinced they have some kind of cron job or something running that keeps booting the server. I signed up with SiteUptime for kicks and giggles only to be shocked at how often the site went down. Really really bad, but on the other hand maybe they have this set up on purpose to help move people over to their paid hosting. Just not very good business practice if you ask me. Not allowing certain keywords so you can't get a paypal button to work? Just stupid, and so I came to trap17. Much much better and loads of perks like PHP etc. Asking for regular posting is a good idea and I can see this evolving into a quality article writing business. Hmmmm could a member run such a business using the trap17 free hosting? I think so but sooner or later either a partnership or your own server would be required to be able to provide the free hosting model to others in return for the article writing.

BuffaloHELP is a great member although BuffaloHELP was always around for my time at Trap17 i'm sure things would have only gotten better since he arrived. He is really helpful and a lot of his topics clear doubts up for a lot of people especially about the Hosting. I can not image Trap17 without Buffalo. But this was a pretty funny topic so yeah. That pic was funny as well (but not true. but do things have to be true to be funny? NO). I wouldn't care about that Buffalo. There are always people who won't like you and hate you even if you are good. Just keep on doing what you are doing Buffalo!

As I was reading this topic, I checked out the profile of allfanged1 and something was brought to my attention. Allfanged1 joined Trap17 on 14 June 2006 but only ever posted once that entire year, and that post was actually a topic he started on the same day of joining. It wasn't until 9th August that he was seen again on this Forum, and that's when he posted this. So, one post followed by a whole year of no activity... I doubt he really knows what's been going on in this Forum with stats like that.

Hi! I've been hosted in trap17 for almost 4 months now. In the beginning, I tried to setup a
WebDisk to directly transfer files from my computer to my hosting account, but I didn't manage
to make it work. It might have been from my Vista's weird firewall settings, or my ISP settings,
I have no idea. Anyway, I used the File Manager since, as I don't have a lot of files on my
site. Needless to say, it is really annoying when I do just some little changes and I have to go

Hello. Me and innosia have tried adding our links to Google's URL crawl page, but Google wont
verify. He says it works for the paid Trap17 hosting, but not the free. I've tried Yahoo and

Trap17 is more navigatable and has a cooler cPanel than computinghost... This may be opinion, but
the HTML editor on computinghost is long gone. The cPanel is the newer version but as always newer
isn't always better. So what if they have a new cpanel (ensim did the same thing)…the fact is
they left old software on for years when much newer and more secure versions are ready. Hell, php6
is about to come out. So in two years plesk, cpanel and ensim will finally go to php6 when php 8 is
available. Just the inablilty to apply security patches alone is enough to nev....

As I said, I had to move my web site away from Trap17 temporarily because I had ran out of disk
space. Now, when my upgrade is finalised, I would like to ask for a little assistance. The provider
I will be moving my site from, back to Trap17 also uses Cpanel, and the admin let me know to do a
backup and that backup could be simply transferred via FTP to my new provider. The backup includes
