Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie - Book Review/ Summary

the-artistic-bunch
Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie, by David Lubar, is a story about a freshmen named Scott Hudson. He has one goal for his freshman year: to survive. To cope with the expected (friends dumping him) and unexpected (mom's pregnant!) changes of his first year of high school, Scott keeps a diary in the guise of writing advice to "Smelly," his unborn brother. Full Cast Audio evokes the humorous growing pains of Scott, his friends, and family. Ryan MacConnell does an especially good turn at portraying Scott as a smart, wry young man wondering how to convert these unpopular traits into assets. Light music separates narration from epistolary episodes, and a catchy jazz phrase indicates new chapters. This excellent production will keep all listeners awake, even sleeping freshmen. I would give this book 8/10 stars, it is a great and somewhat quick read for high schoolers and college kids.

Just like the other Visual Quickstart Guides, this book goes over the basics for Photoshop CS3, and

Very easy to understand as they give these mini tutorials in each section that they cover, such as

  9. Essential Actionscript 3.0 Book Review

Even though this book covered the basics of ActionScript 3.0, I felt that this book is above a
beginner’s level in programming for ActionScript. The reason I say that is that this book

Book review by yours truly! (2)
It was 3 years ago. We were leaving Chapters (Bookstore in Canada, I don't know if it exists
elsewhere) and I noticed on one of the tables a book someone had left there titled "Rich Dad, Poor
Dad - What the Rich Tell Their Children About Money That the Poor Do Not". Not exactly being born in
the richest of families, I was intrigued by what secrets might lie within this book. Secrets I
would never learn unless I opened and read it's pages. I pointed the book out to my mom, she
looked the price then put it back on the table. We left. I was kind of disapointed ....
