Can someone please give me a link to the runescape 2 website. Umm. Well just go to http://www.runescape.com and from there go to create new account (or something like that if you are new) or go to Play existing account (if you already have an account) its not really that hard. its all on the main page. hope this helped, and if you need more just ask.
as i understand it the version of RS avaliable at the RS site is RS2 as the previous version was RS classic which was taken down a long long time ago and was avaliable for a short time for registered paying members, check out RS on wikipedia, im sure you can find a link from google. Im pretty sure that what ive said is right but wiki will have the history of the game and will say something like "the current version of RS, RSX, started in... blah blah"
The current game on the runescape website is Runescape 2. They made runescape 2 the official runescape game a couple years ago and turned the old runescape into runescape classic which you can no longer create accounts for due to cheating and stuff like that, but old players of runescape classic can still play. There is only one version of runescape these days and it's runescape 2, there is no special runescape to play anymore.
www.runescape.com is the runescape 2 website. there used to be an older version (the first version) which is now referred to as rsc, or runescape classic.
i see you're a little confused the new runescape is www.runescape.com and if you wanted to play runescape 1 then you would go here http://www.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/runes.../playclassic.ws rs1 is only for veteran players who have played since rs1 been members and continued to play. you can read more on thier website.

The socalled runescape 2 does exsist but it isnt called that! it was called runescape classic 11, and did you notice that I said it "was" well thats because runescape (jatex) made it so that people could test it out and mabe make it but the people that played it said "its the same as nomal runescape" and so they got rid of it!... I wouldnt call it a runescape2 but runescape private servers, they arent site to get you pass or program to crash you computer. They run on basic Java C++ thats jadex released awhile back. They are for the art of programming, and learning purposes but people use them for fun to play around with and compete with others on whos is better, and who has more people.
Ok back to the account thing, once you log into a client pehaps on silabsoft.Org it savesa file of your username and pass on the owner of the runescape private server's computer. Thats why you don't use your reall username and pass, make a new account and you'll see how fun runescape private servers can be (Not RuneScape2)

Well i noticed the overwhelming amount of private servers out there so i thought i'd create
something that would help the players distinguish between them(IE find who's is better). Ive

I just finished playing runescape, and I have to say....its no that great. It is not compatible with
56K modems, and it downloads too much stuff onto your computer. The graphics arent very good either.....
