RESERVATION REWARDS SCAM
Reservation Rewards - A Scam!
Ok I agree it was my fault for not noticing this until today. I realized that I didn't charge anything for 12.00 today on 7/17/09. Looking back saw it was since 4/13/09, called the bank couldn't get a number. The bank rep had me google reservation reward, first thing to pop up was RESERVATION REWARD SCAM. I opened and wow, got very irate not with the bank rep but to see so many other people have been affected. Then the bank rep told me I could go back 18 months online. To my amazement I've been charged 12.00 each month since 10/14/08, $120.00 total. I flew off the handle. I want to thank all of you who have shared your stories, otherwise I would be in the dark. Oh yes I called and they are refunding all of it. Iam a college student, not living on campus working a part time job, so yeah 12.00 is a lot. Thanks for listening, I feel better now that I've vented. Highly upset, when I called the guy said I signed up through FANDANGO, no I didn't I bought two movie tickets, for madea's A Family That Preys.

Reservation Rewards
Reservation Rewards - A Scam!
I, too, haven't been checking my statement often enough but will from now on. I "signed up" for Reservation Rewards when I bought movie tickets a year ago from Fandango, they tell me. As others have noted, they were happy to cancel the membership and refund the last six monthly charges of $12 each. When I asked about getting a refund for the first six charges, I was told I'd get an "exception request" via email and once I completed it I'd get the rest back. If you've been told you can only get six months' worth of refund, maybe try asking for an "exception request."

yes, they are sleazy
Reservation Rewards - A Scam!
I had been seeing their charge on my Mastercard for a few months, and when I finally called them they told me I'd signed up for some free trial on petmeds.Com. The thing was, they were charging a credit card I don't even USE--it's been cut up for years so I can pay it off. I do use petmeds, but I have always used a completely different card for my orders. I still do not know how they got my Mastercard number. But the customer service lady insisted that I had given them my email address, etc., essentially calling me a liar. Nice "customer service", assuming I was one of their customers. I still do not even know what service these people provide!
Because of this fraudulent charge, I had to get a new card issued, and all kinds of screwy things happened with my account during the transition process. One of these was that my due date changed to 10 days earlier than previous, so I of course ended up with a late fee, which meant a whole other kind of dispute I had to make. Citibank of course eventually corrected the error, but it was a huge pain and could have ultimately damaged my credit. When I informed the Reservation Rewards lady of all the problems they'd caused me, she said, "You don't have to get so upset, ma'am." YES I DO! YOU'VE BEEN STEALING FROM ME!
How have these people not been indicted for fraud yet?

Yes, you are right. My wife bought plane tickets. I checked my bank statement and they took out
$12.00 twice. Called and cancelled but only got the last refund not the first. A big scam and rip off

hmmmm....
Reservation Rewards - A Scam!
Well, not to sound like a broken record in here, but I got nailed by that $12 a month bill. My bank gave me the number to RR and I called them. The guy was polite and knew what I wanted before I even finished saying it. I guess they get these calls a lot. He said I should see a refund in 3-5 days. Guess I will keep an eye out for that. But balancing my bankbooks is what caught this and reading my bills including credit card bills. I feel sort of bad for the people who got nailed for months but then again, it is their fault they didn't read or check into their own finances. Oh by the way, I was another Fandango ticket buyer who got fried. Either I will not use them again or next time I will make sure there are no hidden boxes that I am missing to uncheck. Kinda leaves a bad taste about Fandango too.

Reservation Rewards SCAM !!!!! Beware
Reservation Rewards - A Scam!
I noticed a $12 fee on my credit card statement, and when I called (07-27-09) (800-732-7031) the representative advised me that the $12 fee had originally started on 03-21-09 when I made a purchase on Cheap Tickets.Com . .. I think they should know that they are partnering with SCAM artists! I complained about the charge, and finally asked to be directed to a supervisor or manager and the Rep advised me that that would not be necessary and I would receive (5) individual refunds of $12 each. . . . As the person before me stated, call them up and stand your ground! Don't forget to check your credit card statements for fraudulent charges.

Reservation Rewards class action lawsuit is a SCAM, too!
Reservation Rewards - A Scam!
The class action suit against Reservation Rewards is a SCAM in itself.
Only one class action suit can be filed at one time for any given
Company or situation. So, the company filed one against THEMSELVES to
Keep anyone else from making further claims. In the contract, it limits
You to any further legal action, and will only return “up to 2 months
Worth of charges.” They will return 2 months worth of charges with a
Simple phone call. DO NOT sign up for the class action lawsuit. I was
Ripped off for over a year’s worth of charges. I went along with their
Little scheme, filled out all the mail-in paperwork they make you fill
Out, and I actually DID get my money back. The lawsuit WILL NOT return
Any more than 2 months worth of fees. Keep that in mind.

Reserv Rewards Scam
Reservation Rewards - A Scam!
Replying to iGuest
Well, those of you receiving your refunds I congratulate you as they absolutely refused to refund my money. This is the second time they have tagged my account, once last year on a plane ticket and just this past month on FTD buying my mother's birthday flowers. They did cancel my account but refused to refund the money. I have informed my bank of the scam and that this is an ongoing problem. Remember, they have your information now and will tag you again. The first time it tagged when I tried to X-out of their pop-up, this time I didn't even get a pop-up, it just tagged me. They tried to tell me the first time that they sent me an email and because I did NOT respond it automatically confirmed the account. I never received the email due to my spam blocker. These scam scum are operating just at the edge of legality so it is difficult to stop them. If the banks would put them on a block list it would make a lot of difference. I'm hoping my bank will be able to block them from doing this again as it costs me $12 every time these ****** illegally tag my account. I believe the proper legal term is unjust enrichment, they have taken money without authorization and without providing any service or other compensation in return.

oh my god !!!
Reservation Rewards - A Scam!
I just noticed that I have the same scam in my credit card and called the number shown above (800) 732-7031. I chose "membership cancellation" and they asked my credit card number or membership number. Of course I don't want to give my credit card number again and even don't know about what my membership number is. I have never been a member ! So I stayed on the line without pressing any button, the automated system directed me to a teller.
She found my record in the system and said 13 charges have been occurred. Oh my God... I just thought only 4 charges ! She first told I will get 1 last refund, but I told again her I want "full refund". She told she is authorized to issue 6 refunds of $12. I will see if they will actually refund 6 of $12 and report it here.
