| | i am a guitarist and i want to record my music better. the default rcorder just isn't cutting it.
i am just wondering if you guys have any ideas for a good recording program. 
it can be a free download or something you have to buy.
something that runs on windows xp and isn't to complicated.
i have heard of fruity loops and have tried it but i just don't think i like it much.
but please help me out.  |

you might want to try guitarpro. or if you want to create some musical score, you could use sibelius. you have to buy them though.

Hmm something on Xp what are you using? The default Recorder? Hmm I downloaded a recorder for Xp a while ago it was very good! But it cost money after the Trial Expired. So that probably wont work for you. Try Download.com or Something.

oh i forgot to mention, i haven't used guitarpro yet. in sibelius, you could have a playback of the score you just made so you would know how it sounds. good luck on your compositions.

QUOTE you might want to try guitarpro. or if you want to create some musical score, you could use sibelius. you have to buy them though. i research these programs and i don't think they are what i am looking for. i want something to record on. they look like programs such as finale. which is a program where you place notes on a staff and it plays it to you. well guitarpro deals with tab but same thing. i will definitly try them though. i am downloading the torrent for guitar pro now. i will let you know what i think of it when i do. in the mean time does anyone know of any recording programs that take feeds from mics and such. something where i record and mix and alter with ease would be pleasent. but i don't think there is much out there.

Try the free software Audacity. Its a free sound editor that runs on virtually any operating system, including XP. It can take feeds in from practically anything and record them on to the PC. You can then edit the sounds and apply filters and adjustments to get it sounding perfect. Give it a go - its free so you've got nothing to lose!

Don't like Fruity Loops!?!?! lol I love fruity loops! But anyway, I think you might look into acoustica. They have lots of different versions of software. I think it might cost a little bit of money. I don't remember. I used to run a cracked version  But the software is really simple if that's what you want. They do have some okay effects and stuff too. It's all really simple to use. For what I was doing (and what it sounds like you're doing), it was perfect.

I think you should use Cooledit becase it is a recording program.it allow us to use it easily.also it is a pro software with many effects. they can help you to edit your music faster than other software... beside, cooledit also support many audio format as wma,wmv,mp3....you can convert into different format or choose many bit rate for your music file to be able to use it on the internet or web esily... May you success

If you want a more professional look, I can give you a layout... It is a great idea, and you can start professionally recording your guitar for a few hundred bucks. I recording vocals, and I have a cheaper mic (hope to upgrade soon), its a MXL, round $50 - with a tube preamp and I run that through my line in on computer and the vocals generally sound fairly well. I've been tuning it for months and Ive learned what sounds good. You can see a vague picture of it in my profile.

eureka.................... i have just found a way to let everyone to the scores i have created with guitar pro 5. for the people who do not have guitar pro 5 this shouldn't be to tricky but it will require decent directions. first go to this site arzaweb ( just started it, there is nothing there besides the file downloader.) everyone with gp5- you will see on the front page a little window that says arza's files. If you have gp5 uyou can go ahead and just open up the file and download the file in which you choose to listen. for the people who don't have guitar pro this is where you need to listen, everyone without gp5- go into the utorrent folder and open up another folder named utorrent. within this folder should be an exe. file for the utorrent program. this is the program you are going to use to get gp5. it is simple to install. once you have go back to the utorrent folder and download the torrent for gp5. then you will open that torrent in utorrent by going to file>add torrent. once it is done downloading install and then just follow the directions for the people with the program. once have listen to them go to my guestbook(located in the navbar) and let me know what you think of the songs.

Looking For Os X Program To View Hard Drive Usage
(4) Does anyone know of a program to give you a visual view of your hard disk? I know there is one on
windows but I dont remember the name here sorry. I've got only 80GB of space and only 10GB is
free. I am not sure what is taking up all that space could it be the OS?. A program to give me a

The Most Used Not Pc Needit Program

File Transfer Program
(4) Say I want to transfer a big file; with explorer, all you get is a small box estimating how much
time it takes and you can't pause it if it takes to long. But would there be a program that does
the same thing, but it displays the %, the speed, etc. and have the ability to pause the transfer,
and/or verify the copy when the transfer is done? Oh and maybe have the ability to make a sharing

Need not be free. (8) I have two monitors hooked up on my computer, VIA Geforce 7800 GS, one DVI one VGA. I love having

Looking For Good Video Editinf Program...

Help With Adobe Encore Dvd Menu Program
Want to extract menu from existing DVD (0) I tried search here but i literally couldn't find a thing about Adobe encore. I had used this
programs to make a menu system for a personal DVD. Some of the information on the DVD I want to

Looking for software (10) So I'm not quite ready to spend $1500 on a Boss BR-1600 Digital Recording Studio package...and I

Program To Rotate Images 45 Degrees
(9) I didn't know where to post it, so I just posted it here. Well, what I want is a program to
rotate an image I have. However, when I do it in Photoshop, the some of the lines are getting really

what is the best (35) I'm not sure which i prefer. KaZaA has a good interface, but has ad's. WinMX is a very
simple looking non-ad program. and LimeWire has both no ad's, nice interface but runs really
