notice the member numbers?  i'm third oldest in trap17 membership next to opaque and wassie (as far as i know, who is still active), and third to know this new venture. coincidence? back for good, wassie? welcome back! and more options for those looking for web hosting out there, opaque. let's keep them all in the family of xisto.

Sounds like a good idea, a sort of comprimise between t17.COM and t17.NET, as im already hosted i dont think ill personally use it but ill be reccomending it to everyone and anyone who even speaks about websites Hopefully it can live up the its partner's reputations.

Wow that is great news, anew addition to the Xisto Network. I see that the http://www.trap17.net/ is no longer available, why don't you point it to the new Qupis Free Web Hosting Site. So that any users who comes looking for trap17.net from a search engine or referred by a friend can find this service. I've an question, what happened to all the Existing users of Trap17.net. Are there account deleted or transferred to this news hosting service.

I think there is some misunderstanding from that text posted over there.( i can understand even i got puzzled). Active websites means more like there should be some activity in page. (Like blog,company website, portfolio etc). There are some people who open website with affiliate marketing links and they leave the host, so such sites are inactive one. You can say they just park their spam and advertised stuff. And such sites rarely continue and update with content and useful information. So In my opinion, qupis text means such "inactivity". Yes they should mention about pageviews, traffic and other stuff that shows their criteria for active account.

You didn't posted the line which said "active" in it. This will make us hard to understand what you are pointing at. If it's related to active for server. Then it is related to downtime. If you read related to ports like FTP etc, then active means they're working. And if you're asking for "Active" as in participation here on trap17 for qupis hosting. Then NO, you don't need that. Qupis is not post2host service. You get free cpanel based hosting but with catch that it requires link at the bottom of your page. You've to post and quote the line before we can help you understand the context for that.

(39) There have been issues of MySQL downtimes.. but the main reason is that some members are trying to
experiment stuff. Some of the recent cases . 1> A member tried to send 50,000 emails ... while
most of them were duplicate. I guess, to screw up the server. I had to delete his account. 2> Some
one tried to put random stuff into mySQL database, and he put it into an infinite loop. That caused
mySQL to HOG up since it was expected to execute unlimited queries.. The tmp size was filled and SQL
was down. 3> Someone also tried to abuse JSP/ Tomcat which is THE MOST ADVANCED ....
