There are many sites offering gmat tutorials. But I can say for sure, none can beat winningprep.com. This will be my third attempy for the gmat and I had almost given up. But I got back all my lost confidence with the help of winningprep.com and its ebooks. http://www.winningprep.com

Putting A Signature On The Forum - A tutorial on how to put a signature on here

Albus Dumbledore
Concidering it is a part of the rules that we put signatures in the signature portion instead of typing it every time you make a post, i made this to tel people how to put the signature up for people to see. It will automaticly be added to the end of every single post you make!

First Off you need to go to "My Controlls" which can be found in the top right hand side of the screen...

IPB Image

Once you are in your controlls look on the left hand side for "Edit Signature"

IPB Image

once you are there you should see a screen like this that shows your current signature for ex: mine

IPB Image

and it should show a box to put a signature in for ex: mine

IPB Image

Now to put the signature in all you need to do is type somthing in for example your name, or your name with fancy text all around it, or a small picture that does not take up a ton of space... on the page.. and according to the TOS the signature size can be no larger than
QUOTE
Maximum signature dimensions: 590 pixels wide, 125 pixels high

so i hope this helped! maybe this will give the mods a brake on warning users about using the signature option..

*note*this is ment for pretty much all Invision Power Boards..not PHPBB*note*

hmm i used to have alot of trouble trying to get signatures to work on my forums. i tryed going in to my php files to edit the html tags, the forums config to edit html tags and some other things i think. and then after i did that my signatures still still wudnt work in the signature section yet it would only work on my message.. i dont know why...weird if it works in my message why wouldnt it work in my signature? well after awhile after doing everything i thought could work i layed off it for awhile and then when i came back onto my forums my signature finally work..i dont know how or why its so stupid but it worked i guess it was all just in a matter of time for it to work

Great tutorial, it even supplies images! smile.gif

You also should'a mentioned about aligning your signatures. Alignment in your signatures is really cool and is hard to find out just by researching it and stuff so you may wanna add that also. happy.gif

CODE
[align=right]YOUR RIGHT SIGNATURE HERE[/align]

nice and simple, just like it should be.
Someone should write a tutorial about more complex signature, like php build ine... Like that chat in forum signtarue, like IP showing... and stuff.
Maybe i do something like that when i have time.

Running With Scissors
As noobish as this sounds when I first joined astahost I couldn't find where to add a avatar or a signature because I was looking in my profile which is where in other forums (smf, phpbb) it would typically be. Since this was the first site I have joined that used IPB I just left it alone for a while until I was clicking on all the links up top (xisto, free webhosting, credits, ect.) and I saw "My Controls" and I was like "I wonder?" and it made me feel quite dumb that I was looking in the wrong place. When I came over to trap17 it didn't take me long to figure it out because it was the same thing as over there.
So as simple as this tutorial is I'm sure it will help some new guy out. Good job Albus.

Hey All who may want an invisionfree forum skin, because they are tired of their old, boring,
squarish one. Well I helped with this skin, and I'm going to give an explanation for starting
users, so that they may too, have a nice forum skin! First of all, when installing a new skin on
your board, no upload or download is needed. You will most definately have to replace your old forum

Some great tips on how to make and maintain a good forum (8)
-Firstly, come on, use a decent forum system. Visitors to forums hate advertisements. The best way
to guarantee no ads is to host it yourself. There’s loads of free web hosts out there- there’s loads
of free forum software, too. So, come on! It doesn’t take much energy to find a good host and upload
some files. I think the two best forum softwares to use are SMF(www.simplemachines.org) and
phpBB(www.phpbb.com). -Secondly, if anybody is actually reading the topic with the link to your

updated my Winamp playlist, and several other interesting things... Then, I figured I could create
an image, and display all that info, and show it on forums, as a signature... And I made a great

    Forget placing index.php in a signature.png folder. (8)
This is only a very quick tutorial, meant to complement the dynamic signature tutorials that already

to be aware of this method. This does not cover the actual creation of dynamic signatures, per se -
but rather a better 'trick' to allow you to use dynamic signatures on forums such as this
one. I've noticed that most of the dynamic signature tutorials on this forum state that you

Hey Trap, It's Mr. Panda, and I'm introducing a signature rotator script I came across
several months ago. Unlike most other signature rotators on trap17, this one does DOES NOT
require the configuration process, and a new signature can be added, simply by uploading it to the
proper directory. Seeing as this requires so much less configuration, I do hope it will be
implemented by some of you 'Sig Masters' out there /biggrin.gif' border='0'
