| | suppose i have a page, page.php?part=1 there i have some text fields. user will give input, but after taking input, it will not put the data in mysql .. but it will take to the next step.. page.php?part=2 (if any field is left blank, it will not go to next page.. ) . and there also some fields.. after the user has filled that form also, then it will insert all data (from part1 and part 2) in mysql. i want to ask, how i can collect data from 2 pages and put in mysql at once. |

Well if you take the vars from page one lets call them $var_pg1_one and $var_pg1_two and store them in page 2 via the POST/GET vars one page two: CODE $var_pg1_one = $_POST['pg1_one'];
$var_pg2_two = $_POST['pg1_two']; then have the form for that page and have hidden fields which contain the vaues of the above variables like: QUOTE <input type=hidden name=var_one value=$var_pg1_one> then on the third page which is the processing page or both forms you just recall all the variables from both pages using the GET/POST method and then store them in the DB Does that make sense? alternatively you can use a select case to change the HTML code of the page and still store the variables as the php page isnt actually a different page.

2 Pages Into One
how? (10) Hello, now this may be a stupid question but i'm very new to php so i need some help. what
i'm wanting to do is combine 2 pages in to one. like for example the install.php for
invisionpower board it starts with one page and you click continue and it gives you a whole new page
but if you look at the url you are still using the install.php file but it has somethinglike "?a=2"

Mysql Won't Update
(5) Ok, so I'm making some arcade administration software so I don't have to add games the hard
way, well anyway, one of the features I have is that on the homepage is a featured author and as
such I just have it so it updates one line in the mySQL. Well, the page with the form passes on the
varibles fine and the updating page recieves them because I echoed everything, then I build the
query and I even echo the query and it comes out exactly how I want it to, but for some reason, the

Php Email Validation
A PHP data validation class with many functions (1) I've been reading through my old php book (PHP 4.1) and came across this data validation class.
It can check a number of things ranging from telephone numbers , credit card number formats, email
address and some others. I checked out some of the methods although I didnt expect it to work 100%
because I've found source code errors thoughout the book and CD. I tested out a few of the
methods to check and some of them did return expected results but some didnt either so the data

Problem On Mysql "order By"
