I haven't played halo nor halo 2 nor doom. Only games I played from the list u made are half life 1 & 2. Good game I'd say. Anyway I think there are some better games. I like Mafia a lot, for example. I also think (when it comes to fps) that Max Payne, and Call of Duty are amon the bests. There are a lot of them...
I have at least 10 favourites for about every genre (fps, rpg, strategy, management, etc.)
I voted for HL 2 but I there wasnt any game what I really like and i think that is the best ... there needed to be games like NFSU, GTA too... So I just voted from one of the best i see in this poll...
I voted for Half-Life. I seriously think they are the one that started it all because of the well known game Counterstrike. Counterstrike has been around for Years! and it still commonly played. I still love playing 1.6 even though the graphics aren't the greatest its still so much fun. I actually like 1.6 better then Half-Life2 Counterstrike Source because it isn't as fast paced of a game but still takes a lot of skill.
Star Craft, being the only RTS on the list, I had to pick it. The rest are all FPS. I mean even original StarCraft is going strong with people still playing online. It's a game that will never get boring.
I wish there was NHL 2006 but I'll go with Starcraft even though I've never played it before. I chose it cause people say it's like Warcraft 3 which i really like.
I chose Half Life 2 because the best game EVER is not even there : Medal of Honor : Allied assault. Also Call of Duty and Call of Duty 2 should really be mentioned in this thread.
Well, which game started it all? The only one on your list that could possibly qualify for that is Doom. The rest of the games are way to new to have really started anything. The Doom series (one could even argue for Wolfenstien 3d) started what we now know of as FPS games. There really wouldn't be anything if it wasn't for doom. I guess I also have to give props to StarCraft too, it certainly wasn't the first RTS game but it was a really good one. And also the first one that I played. It also was probably the first game I played online against other people. I had a blast playing that game online.

My vote goes for Halo considering it was the second gun game I played ever and it had a unique storyline and VERY GOOD multiplayer at its time. I really did love that game ; ; I miss it, now the new ones I don't really know how to go about playing them xD plus you need a very good computer to run them. Well thats my vote between all of them.
WoW, I never liked that game... then again when I play mmos it has to be korean. I don't know why but it just has to be that way. xD

My vote goes for half life 1 because unfortunately i haven't played half life 2. It was suppose to come with my radeon 9600 XT graphics card upon redeeming a serial code contained on the packaging, mid 2003. It was tricky, this serial or whatever voided some sort of warranty, but if you sent it in to ATI at the time you'd get Half life 2 as advertised.
It all turned to crud however and thousands of people didn't get the offer, crappy. Despite this, i still seem more inclined towards purchasing ATI then NVIDIA. Maybe one day i'll play half life 2.

I remember playing the old Zelda games on the NES system and Link was little more then a 8-bit dot
with big ears and a green hat. It really didnt have much of a story plot to it and the characters
weren't really in depth, but it was still fun to play. As the gaming world advanced, graphics
got better and game system held more memory. This gave me a new respect for gaming because Link had
a personally, life like and believable. Metal gear was also one of my favorites. In the old nes game
I really didn't care if I die, it was like "ok whatever Im dead" but in the P....

I don't know about you but I am a major fan on mmorpg pirate games, they are so much different
than world of warcraft or those mmorpgs, I love how you can own a ship and go around and kill
pirates and all that great stuff. I am really wanting to play a new pirate game that is free. I want

GAMEOS - This is a program that replaces your original windows shell - Explorer.exe with the GameOS
shell that is built expecialy for games. It has a system of defragmenting memory so you always have
full memory for your next game and it will basicly focus all your graphic, sound and CPU processing

Metal Gear Solid has been my all time favorite series of all time for so long...but recently I got
into Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory...and I must say, it was excellent I must say. The thing about
metal gear that got old to me were the terrible camera angles you get throughout the game...they
frustrate me so much. Also, you are very limited to what you can do in the MGS series also. Now
Splinter Cell is a different story. The camera angles are very good, and can even be adjusted to
accomodate you. The thing that gets me about Chaos Theory is how much you can do in the game....
i opened this place for we tell a reason why EA would make a Burnout version for PC. OMG they are
losting money. Burnout is the best racing game i ever ever played, think about in playing on lan
with 10 friends? every one today have a joystick for pc, so the game feeling was the same please EA
