If you haven Norton Antivirus Vs Nod 32 I was a die hard McAfee fan for years. In the interim, I have used that, AVG, Kapersky, Nod32,Avast, CA, Webroot, and Norton. I recently contracted something and went through the above list and of all of them, the trojan eluded them all except Norton AntiVirus 2009. I have been using it most of the year and I used to hate it because it hooked into your whole system. That is NO LONGER THE CASE. The program installs...

I have never heard of the other one, but i do have Norton antivirus. Personally, i have never had a problem with Norton, although i do have a horrible habit of closing the process that runs it, meaning i disable it.
I have heard that Norton doesn't pick much up on its scan, but i am not sure if this really is the case. I have had no problems with my PC so far.
I use Norton's, to answer the posty above I have heard that too, but I (from personal experience) can say that is not true, most of the time it picks up to much, like when I made a fake prank virus thing, and Norton's thought i was hazardous, I just ran a scan, it found 9 at risk files, that to me is good...
Norton Antivirus 2005 is better he has internet worm peotection, spyware detective, privacy protector (cookies).
And NOD32 i just only Antivirus!!!
NOD 32 is better antivirus.
Norton is too slow and more expensive. Nod 32 can detect unknown virus. Nod 32 uses heuristic method to decect wild virus. Nod 32 detected Sasser, Blaster i MyDoom viruses before release update for them. site: www.nod32.com
i use NOD32 antivirus
nod32 corporation tray to make small Business and make one radar in any country thanks good but norton antivirus has many yeas work and have good think about virus and antivirus system but norton antivirus is slow because this software is gold Version and Has real Scanner = these software stay behind of process and check files with Size and more options and ... nod32 antivirus has this option too and has online scanner this antivirus can check your file view in browser but i think this option is not good because if this option is enable your browser is slow work
I haven't seen or used NOD23, but I've used Norton Professional 2003, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because, like haron said, it's slow. In other words, Norton uses too much system resource, and when Norton is scanning your computer for viruses, you basically can't do anything because it slows down your computer significantly.
As i wrote in another post, I installed NOD32 and was VERY impressed with it. Using a total of 5Mb system resources, it's doing as good a job as McAfee does on my other computer.
I am using Windows XP on P-II, 550 MHz, 128MB RAM computer, which was running smoothly. But, after the installation of Norton Antivirus 2004, its performance has been reduced too much. I have to wait several minutes for windows to start after booting and even after booting it works very slow when any new program is launched.
I don’t know why this antivirus is using too much resources, whereas even the freeware versions of other antivirus like Avast, AVG etc. were working fine. Can anybody tell me why Norton Antivirus is using so much resources, what is the technology behind this?
I have both of them and
Norton is very good, many utilities for fixing your computer, but if we talk about scan and that well... Norton is very slow when we compare it with nod32 and I have no problems when I scan with nod32, it's fast and find every virus, same as norton wich is much slower If you need to choose then I say NOD32 and ofkors it is smaller Latest Entries

Norton Antivirus Vs Nod 32 I was a die hard McAfee fan for years. The program installs fast, uses little resources, and sets you for maximum protection with little intrusions in the way of popups alerting you of things. I just recently downloaded a trial of Norton 360 to my daughter's computer using my credentials, and to my surprise, I received a 366 day subscription free of charge (customer loyalty or something). At any rate, it found the infection on her computer after Qwest OneCare failed to detect it and after Avast allowed her to get the infection in the first place. All I am saying is, try the trial of Norton 360 and run a FULL SCAN on your computer. When I did that, I was surprised at what McAfee had left behind. Even DVDs and CDs I had burned while using McAfee were infected with trojans that upon insertion in to my now Norton protected system, Norton detected the viruses, the files they were in, and I was able to remove those infections from my hard drive then re-burn the cds/dvds that had been infected and undetected while using McAfee, Nod32 and the others. -reply by IveUsedThemAll
I used to be a die hard fan of Norton Antivirus after my first pc crash in during my college days. I was having a P II machine then with a new 540 MB hard disk and my pc got infected with a virus I still don't know what, but it was a virus for sure, which left me high and dry with almost one month's project work lost. Norton did protect me in the rest of the days of my project and then upto more than six years later. In 2006 I started using other antivirus programs, most of which were pirated or coppied ones, untill I settled for Nod32 about a year and a half age. After which it is Nod32 and nothing else. The reason was for the new OS Vista Nod32 came as an early entrant and was wonderfully lite on the machine that I own today. Now with Wndows 7 I am still using Nod32 coz it is lite and is awfully fast and as for Norton it has turned out to be a big resource hogger.
The same thing is happening with Nero, a vastly popular and handy C/DVD burning software is turning out to be too heavy on machines, and now much better and elaborate techniques with better performane is available many free of cost, better than Nero a few times in performance. I think Nod32 is much better than Norton Antivirus. Not to leave far behind is Kaspersky being a good virus derector and cleaner.
I was once told that Norton create virus type codes that hackers counter use against Computer systems, Nod 32 is a trusted third party software that is trusted. I use it my slef
I used both and both of them are crap. Norton's too much of a system hog and nod32 did nothing to stop my pc getting infected by trojans.
NOD32 is the best antivirus for me!!!!!!!!! Even on slowly machines it works greatly!!!
