Nokia 6600 Virus Problems

I have some problems with my mobile phone (NOKIA 6600).

I got a virus from someone via bluetooth and it is ´killing´nokia.

I tried F-secure protection but it isn't working.

Please, help me!

My friend had the same thing... for about 2 times on a week

He payid for changind BIOS... It's the only chance to save 6600...

well the way to save your nokia 6600 is as follows :

Make sure that you format the memory card first so that there is no trace of virus in the phone and remove any password from the memory card.

1. First of all make sure that your phone's battery is full and then switch off you mobile phone.
2. You'll need to hold three buttons together which are : The green button, left selection key and the no. 3 key
3. Keep on holding these three button and then press the power button to switch it on.
4. After this you'll get a screen which will say FORMATTING.... after that you can leave the keys.

Caution : This will completely format your phone memory and will reload the whole phone due to which you'll loose all your contacts or infact anything stored in the phone memory.

I hope this helps you....this step can be taken for any Nokia phone which has Symbian OS Series 60 Version 7 and above...you can say most of the phones which came after Nokia 6600

is it very important to have full battery couz i tryed with half empty and it didnt work

Yes you can format you N6600 so that the features are reset back .There is a software called SIMWORKS antivirus .is vey good go search in google,Don't forget to take a backup before a format.There is only one virus for 6600 and it is called CABIR so be aware of it ask you to install .be carefull don't switch on BT always keep it in hidden mode

Hello friends,

I have nokia 6600 phone.
Which is I think infected by a virus.
Whenever I switch OFF/ON my phone a message automatically gets delivered to an unknown person. For which I couldn't get any delivery details in my cell.
Only I get my money debited from my prepaid acc.
So please anyone can help me out.
I will be eagerly waiting to hear from you people.

I had this virus which sends MMS to other users, I can't use my load balance cause it automatically sends MMS which costs 20 pesos or whenever I had left loads.., the nokia texted me that I must visit this site to remove the virus.., what will I gonna do with this? tnx -feedback by xhatmeyn

I had the same problem from my sending mobile (sending MMS to the numbers available in my contacts list or sending messages by bluetooth). I could not afford to format my phone as I had lot of contacts list and my data stored in the form of text files.

First I took the backup of my dats on my phone memory card and then scanned for virus files with the help of my laptop. I found the few file names that were usually found in the MMS outbox folder. I could recognize those files and deleted.

Then I soft formatted my cell phone and thus got rid of virus, without loosing my data.

Now from last TWO years, I have not faced this problem again and now I do not receive any file from any un-trusted source.

firstly u clean the virus of card by pc(quick heal)

then , *#7370# dial it on your 6600 , then it required password it is 12345.

then format yuor mobile quickly and the virus is clean.

about my nokia 6600

I got a problem with my nokia 6600.., I can open it but just a few minutes or seconds I can't see anything but just only the light. I try to reformat, but it did not work. I try to use blower having a thought that it was wet. Same thing it doesnt work. What should I do I don't wanna left my nokia6600 behind. Please help me fix this problem! -question by Zoukoh

I hav got a virus problem in my nokia 6600, all files have become hidden and applications. The virus is symobs. Applicationdisabler pls advice how to remove it. I cannot format my memory card as I have important data on card.
