If you are looking for something simple, you can try the Nokia 3210. Its a very simple model, monochorme but it should good enough for everyday use. Of course, if you demand more, like a color screeen, you will have to look at other models.

i've been using a nokia 3310 for 3 or 4 years. its good and its cheap. but if you don't want a nokia...hmmmm, there are some good motorolas out there!

What Mobile Do You Prefer
I'm actually a little surprised that nobody has mentioned the Boost "Pay As You Go" Plans. They're a pretty good deal, especially for families. With the "Push to Talk" you're always in touch with friends and family members that have the Boost (or Nextel) phones.
This market shouldn't be ignored! It runs JAVA, and I'm sure some clever programmers can come up with some pretty cool apps for it. How about the C64 emulator that IPhone refused to approve? I'm a Commodore 64 fan from way back, and I don't NEED an IPhone. BUT, I just *might* have bought one.. To have the C64 emulator..
Oh well, Apple's Loss!!

Optus in Australia and i have been doing it for free for about a week now and it's great but it
dose have it's up's and downs. Ok using my Sony Ericsson T610 as a modem i can visit most
sites but some sites such as awardspace don't work but i found a way to get around it. If you
can't access cetain sites i just use a Proxy such as http://www.vpntunnel.net and it usually
fixes that problem, otherwise i can't access it all together. OK another problem ....
