Sometimes I just want to play some good FPS game which is free, because I don't want to go the store an buy it, but what I usually hate about free FPS games, that they are multiplayers, that means that I can't play just for fun most of free FPS game in single player mode, they all are multiplayer, which sometimes is annoying, because I don't really like to play multiplayer, because I usually am a newbie on FPS, all my live I preferred strategy games....

Yeah... I'm so surprised you included CounterStrike in your list.. It isn't free..
LMAO counterstrike isn't free, It can never be free. I reckon that all free FPS games are bad and are pointless to play. That is why they are for free, only pathertic people play free fps, instead of buying the proper ones.
Does that mean the army suck? I mean they are the creators of a popular FPS game America's Army.
Free FPS games can be hacked easily. Don't whinge if people are cheating, blame yourself for playing free FPS games.
I think that America's Army is a sweet FPS. I know a lot of people who play it, and love it. BTW: the only way you can get Counter-Strike for free, is to use Six Steam, jack it form the store, or use some kind of crack which uses the older versions of CS. I don't know what the deal with Softpedia is, but it does sound a bit hokey, so I don't want the FBI showing up at my door because I downloaded it.
I actually enjoyed Americas Army. I picked it up from a booth type thing at the mall a few days ago and I just finished up the training missions. I haven't been online with it yet, but I assume that there's a lot of hacking going on due to it being freeware.
I'm going to check out some of those other games soon. Thanks a lot.
Okay. I agree to the Counter-strike not being free. But free FPS are not neccisarily crap and people who play them ARE NOT crap. Not all of us excactly have $25-$50 in our pockets. Most kids I know are lucky to get a few dollars a MONTH. And if the person running the free FPS has a decent firewall in his server computer, even the best hacking would at least be noticed. And I like a lot of those shooters. In fact im planning on making a few of my own over the summer. So don't insult us who arn't dirty rich/spoiled/willing to be up to they're eyeballs in debt/who are old enough to have even a part time job/those that don't have to help pay for a the house they're living in. Those are the oppoite situations of many people(in fact, most). I will respect everyones oppinions, but you shouldn't beat someone down for they're mistakes and/or situation and/or sense of taste.
CS is not free, and I have heard of American Army, but the rest of this list is realy good.

I never play free games,i want to say that i don't play games which are free to download.So that says that here are not included games which can be only installed with CD/DVD without serial codes.But always my favorite games are only games which are not free and which are included with serial codes.I never heard about all this free fps,i have only heard about CS,which is not free game and you need to provide serial games.But all that ilegal stores which are selling CDs with file which is replacing reg key with ilegal serial key,are trying to make us to forget that all that games are not free.Always see is Cd legal or not...I think if police comes to your computer and finds all that things,you will go to jail

If i play FPS games, i do not usually play those science fictions FPS, i play War games, they are more realistic and much better to play. FPS war games are by far the best choice for me. But oh well, its really up to you to decide (:
First person shooters? Perhaps the best one i know is cube 2 or even tremulous. Unfortunately i've only had experience with tremulous, as i play on my old laptop. "Play" isnt exactly accurate, more like explore as its a multiplayer game with no AI.
But the graphics are quite superb on even a 2002 graphics card, specular lighting, etc. Good for quick multiplayer fun, the theme is reasonably good too arachnids against mercenaries. If i remember correctly it was a reworking of the quake 3 engine. A 100 mb download.
