32mbs of RAM? Oh my... Well, you can try Fluxbuntu—it is extremely minimal, it's like working with a terminal that has a gui, in my opinion. There's also DSL (seems to use the same desktop environment as Fluxbuntu). Not really sure how much RAM these distros take up, but it's probably made for 64mbs or less. Fluxbuntu is not in a stable version, but i tested it out via LiveCD and it worked fine, from what i saw. If your motherboard supports more RAM, i'd suggest getting more.

I believe that the majority of Linux kernels can run in text mode with only 32 megabytes of RAM. My advice to you, create a swap partition and make it huge, like 2 or 3 gigabytes. Virtual memory is over 1000 times slower than RAM, but at least this should work. You can also by more RAM if you need it. Even only doubling your RAM will make a huge difference.

Audio Metering On A Computer

computer? This is because we have a recording studio and mix sometimes straight to DVD and 0 (look
up Unity Gain) on the analogue mixing desk is not 0 on the Computer (which is understandable) There
is metering for audio, but unfortunately you cannot keep this open while recording as it is the

and then start it up the next time, the time and date of my computer remains the same as that of the

Wlm Disconnecting Alot!

Having Problems Installing Apache2 On Linux
Any tux lovers to help me out? (3) I am installing Apache 2 on Ubuntu Linux 6.06 (downloaded appropriate binary), and have followed the
instructions from several places, including apach.org... I have got to the point where it says to
enter make , just after the ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache2 , where I also added
--enable-mods-shared=most , for the common options. That all went fine, took a little while, then
when it's done I am supposed to enter make , I presume to gather up all the newly created
files. This command just does not exist. returned bash error and it is not in the manual.....

Linux Question: Amarok And File Permissions
please help, i can't get it to work with all music files (4) hey, i use to use Linux DC++ to download music from some hubs and i usually download it to
/home/downloads/ and then i move the files to my collection on another HDD a sata one, on
sda3/music/ but when i move the files using krushader root mode they become posessed by root and
amarok can't play them displaying a locker on the file's icon. I tried to " chmod 774 music
", where music is my music directory, as root in konsole but no luck. What should i do to make a
whole directory accessible from amarok as user?....
