There already has been ways to hook up a t.v to the internet a long time ago,so what you are talking about is definitly not innovative. It's old news.

But WHY would you want to? D: I don't know much about fancypants expensive TV's, but regular TV resolution is WAY lower than your computer screen, I think. So... it would be kind of lame?

I don't know how to describe it bust here in my country, I see more and more of this kind of TVs in malls and in the MRT stations. I think its cool to have a TV that can connect to the internet because some people would just use their computers to watch videos from youtube and would like to watch it in HD since youtube already made some of the uploaded videos in HD. This can make people think of just buying the TV rather than buy a HD TV and a HD monitor which would cost a lot of money and is consuming more power than just buying a TV that can connect to the internet. Also, there are some stations that is only available thru the internet.

I was part of a company that was developing technology to bring live TV to the internet. This was an exciting project and that is definitely the way things are going, but I feel that nothing will ever replace hard line cable TV and satellite just because of the bandwidth requirements for true HD television. Internet TV right now is more of a convenience than anything right now. I personally only watch shows on the internet if my DVR doesnt record them or if I missed them for any reason.

I simply hook up my TV to the computer and use it as a monitor and since my computer is connected to the Internet, I'm achieving the same result. If they plan to have an embedded computer in there, it wouldn't be upgradeable like a simple attached computer. Even if they do introduce Internet-connected televisions, I'd still prefer my TV+computer solution over it as I can access the videos stored in my hard drive and networked external drive too. Rich Internet Application - Who Is Going To Win The Race?
(7) Last couple of months we can see the competition between 3 major Companies Adobe, Sun and Microsoft.
Everyone wants to win the race. They introduced 3 products to develop RIA (Rich Internet

they have released Flex 3.0 beta. Flex SDK is open source and Blaze Data Services (part of Flex

Is It Possible To Destroy The Internet?

possible? If it is possible to destroy the internet what would you have to do? Would you have to

Just think, if someone took down the entire internet not only would our lives be boring but it would
basically destroy the U.S. & other big countries all at once.....

Skype Rule
Talk for free on the internet (7) This has been available for a while, but I only recently. This is a Voice over IP program that
allows you to talk to anyone on the internet anywhere provided they have the same program. The
software is free. The real amazing thing is the new feature you can now have real phone number. That
means someone can call you from a normal landline and you can call other landline numbers. They have
also just added the live video software also for free, so if you have a web cam you can see the
other person. I know, I know it is not all that new, but this is the first software that ....

Broadband In Gas
Carrying internet over gas pipelines (5) I recently read about a company called Nethercomm that is promoting a broadband in gas technology.
Apparently, this company has some patents pending on devices that can be installed in gas pipelines
that go to commercial and residential buildings to provide the "last mile" connection for broadband.
It appears the technology is based on radio frequencies propogated down the gas pipe as a wave
guide. Nethercomm boasts data rates up to 40 Mbps are possible to the home. Anyone know of any
actual implementation/trials of this technology going on presently?....
Internet Telephony - Any Experiences?
(10) I was wondering if anybody had any experience with internet telephony or voIP. I've tried Skype
with mixed results, and recently read an article about a number of fairly large companies who have
adopted it as a money saving venture. In the UK BT announced yesterday a new phone service whereby
when you take your phone outside your home it uses the Vodafone network, and when you use it at home
it automatically uses voIP over bradband. Sounds interesting.......

needed to do, and have provided tabbed browsing for Internet Explorer. Things are fairly undeveloped
at this stage, but reports talk about it running fast and supporting most features you'd want.

Microsoft Confirmed IE7 Compatible with XP and newer
Internet Explorer 7 only for XP (26) Micrsoft confirmed what we've already expected. The new-coming explorer IE 7 will only be
compatible with windows XP and newer. The two reasons why old dinosaurs that still use Windows 2000
and lower won't be able to use the new IE are: 1. state in which is the extended support of
Windows 2000 and 2. mostly of technical nature (IE 7 is goin to have a few security updates and
imporvements, which bases on the functionality of the new XP SP2 and this is the reason for its
incompatibility with other versions of Windows) Source: Slashdot ....
Voip(voice Over Internet Protocol)
real money saver (16) VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is the communication technology of the future for sure. Legacy
technology carries voice signals over analog circuits and lines. Voice over IP converts the analog
signal to digital and transports the signal to the receiver where it is converted back from digital
to analog and the receiver hears the sender's voice. This provides a more efficient and
economical means of communication. I have know VOIP for quite a some time since i started online.
Most of the time i use msn messeger or yahoo messeger to chat with my friends. Recently,....
