HTML Editors - Your preference?

chelcy
So what's the best HTML editor? Or at least what you use? I searched in Google, and they (of course) all claim to be good, and I think they are. But what do you guys use? (Or do you just use Notepad? tongue.gif )

Oh yeah, I'd prefer free ones! laugh.gif

Edit: Can someone move this post? I'm so sorry but I posted in the wrong forum... unsure.gif

smile.gif ,,,NotePad is the best ..hehe ..And its same as editing in front page or dreamweaver ..You have to click preview to see the result and here you have to click that html file after editing the source...
Why dont you use front page ?? that comes wid MS office ..

(Actually, I use Notepad myself, since I'm not sure which HTML editor is worth downloading... laugh.gif )

I thought Frontpage was a common kind of editor, like, very few features or something, but I guess it's worth a try! smile.gif

One problem though: I have Microsoft Office 2003, but there's no Frontpage with it. How come? sad.gif

thats pretty much true yes.
but,
dreamweaver has more options,
but you dont have to use them all do you?
i know like 10% of the options.
and i still like it more.

i must admit that dreamweaver is best for the
experienced ones, but for me its fine

laugh.gif notepad is the best editor... It is easier for me to code the layout, than to try to design it using a WYSIWYG and it is 100% FREE!!! For some reason it is easier, I don't know why! tongue.gif

I use Notepad which came with My OS. This is my basic and the most used html editor. Anybody can edit HTML, Javascript, Php, and lots of using simple notepad. So I loved it.
After that
Following are the my html editors
  1. Microsoft Frontpage
  2. Dreamwaver cs3
  3. Cpanel html editor
My 2nd reommendation is dreamweaver because it has lots of features.

I personally like NotePad++. It's better I think, plus it has line numbers on the left of the panel. Very useful for finding errors in PHP files. wink.gif I also use the cPanel HTML Editor for my HTML designs. It is way easier for me to just paste some style sheet in the Source of the page, then click on Design and carry on from there.

Problems with running HTML editors. (2)
It looks like my PC has something against HTML editors. I use Coffeecup HTML Editor 2007 and I also
