There is many free editors, but most of them are bored/hard/uneasy to use i personally use Dreamweaver MX but they are not free If you wanna use them in firm/commerce you need to buy it.

i used first page before easy to navigate around plus you can add some dhtml scripts and javascripts to your site design, first page is free i somehow got it for 10 bucks but this had other stuff on it as well but it still useful to use. but beware some of those free html editors can be loaded with spyware trojans and what not.

im a bit modest but.. before i got so great at html and php/mysql i used macromedia dreamweaver but as someone said its not free, its well worth the money though great program it kinda finished my html training now im comfortable coding in html in a plain old ordinary notepad.

I use Geany for lightweight editing, but I use Eclipse for large scale Perl/PHP/HTML stuff. Neither is WYSIWYG, but they both are open source and are guranteed spyware free. I have used Notepad++ before and I liked it very much. If you aren't doing a lot of coding, just grab Geany, but for large scale projects I suggest Eclipse or a WYSIWYG editor.
Im using KompoZer at the moment. Its fairly straight forward. Its somtimes a bit of a hassle but if you want a simple website its perfect A bonus is KompoZer has its own inbuild FTP, so you dont have to download as much

Textpad are available from http://textpad.com/products/textpad/index.html on a try before you buy basis. But if it's ok buying an application in the end why not go and buy a license on dreamweaver, for an exemple? Btw, when you install Dreamweaver you get the option to choose how you want your workspace. Either a visual layout interface or a streamlined coding environment or a combination of them both.

hey guys, as you may know, i have ipb 2.3.4 set up on my site. i am currently using the centura
skin and like it a lot. i have customised the header bar in terms of the logo, however also want a
slab of text linking to the forums home at the top of the banner. i have so far managed to achieve
this to work in firefox (see attached screenshot), however it just screws up in ie, opera and safari

I can't figure out why this horizontal list isnt working. Underneath my banner is supposed to

Ok so i just started learn html about a couple of weeks ago and i make a background image using this

I'm having troubles with the background colours on the HTML pages on my site

My question is, why would anyone use the CODE tag when you can use the PRE tag? 1. The PRE tag
recognises white space, the CODE tag does not. 2. The CODE tag requires that you escape some

Hey guys I'm overhauling my website and have decided instead of using frames I want to just
have a logo and buttons integrated into each HTML file, so you can just scroll down past it. I want
the logo at the very top, before any content. I was wondering if there is any way of doing it with
an HTML tag (i.e. not PHP or any other scripts) so the header just gets inserted right after the
opening tag. I'm thinking that possibly it uses the tag, but really I don't have much of

Dear friends, I am new to web site designing. I am using NVU for creating my web
pages. It has a option in which we can select that the editor will use CSS or it will use html tags
for coding of the page. For example - If I want to make the text bold then if tag is used the code
will be QUOTE Your text and if the CSS is used the text will be QUOTE Your text .
Please suggest me which option I should choose to make my web page standard to modern HTML
