Cerebral Stasis
No, the entire thing wouldn't be grown, per se, but it contains organic components and is fabricated out of very small parts (sometimes at the mollecular level). Excuse my confusing use of the word "grown."

Hey guys have you heard about OLED?

Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) technology

An OLED is an electronic device made by placing a series of organic thin films between two conductors. When electrical current is applied, a bright light is emitted. This process is called electrophosphorescence. Even with the layered system, these systems are very thin, usually less than 500 nm (0.5 thousandths of a millimeter).

When used to produce displays, OLED technology produces self-luminous displays that do not require backlighting. These properties result in thin, very compact displays. The displays also have a wide viewing angle, up to 160 degrees and require very little power, only 2-10 volts.

OLED displays have other advantages over LCDs as well:

* Increased brightness
* Faster response time for full motion video
* Lighter weight
* Greater durability
* Broader operating temperature ranges

What can you say with this latest technology?

This will really change our lifestyle.

s i hav head of it man...plz giv me more info....be fast

Has anyone notice in what the past 10 years has done in technology? Alot has change so i was
thinking what will happen in the next 50 years? Alot will change i bet. Mabey robots doing
everything for us. Smart House for every house. And everything else. I think alot of things are

  2. Braingate - Technology to help quadriplegic persons (14)
http://www.livescience.com/humanbiology/05...rain_study.html Braingate article This is really
cool. While it has been in development for a while in monkeys this article really explains what has
happened. The baingate is a small chip that is placed on the persons brain and senses the firing
neurons. It send this information to a processing computer which translates it. The current test
subject, Matthew Nagle, has been able to move a curser across the computer screen, turn the TV
on/off, change channels etc. The tests that they've done previously on monkeys allowe...
  3. Iris Scanning Technology: Coming Of Age - (8)
QUOTE THIS MAY SOUND incredible but the way technology is growing this will shortly be possible.
Research by Sammy Phang, Queensland University of Technology’s Faculty of Built Environment and
Engineering scholar, helps overcome one of the final obstacles to application of iris scanning
technology to unlock our homes, access bank accounts and log on to our computers. Of all the
biometric technologies used for human authentication today, iris recognition is thought to be the
most accurate. Iris is an externally visible coloured ring around the pupil of every human eye...
  4. Government Technology - Read a Monitor From a distance? (16)
Hey, I've heard this a few times from my real life computer geek friends, so I am starting to
wonder if it's true. Does the government have a tool that can read whats on a monitor up to two
    miles away by intercepting signals?...
  5. New Laptop Advice - Laptop technology (9)
Hi, I'm looking for advice. I'm looking to get a new laptop. It will replace my current
desktop. Bascially it will primarily be used around the house, and occasionally for travel about
7-10 times a year (including at airports, on planes, etc). I got my last laptop back in 1999 so its
been a while. I'm looking at: Dell XPS M1710 (GeForce Go 7950 GTX) or Alienware Aurora
mALX I have looked at cnet and both of the vendors sites, but i'm still not sure. Does
anyone have any suggustions? the cnet review hinted that the mALX may loose position wi...

This is not about computer but it is still electronic. Has anyone have seen the Anti-Crash
Technology in RC planes yet? It uses sensors to "sense" the ground-and-sky orientation of the plane

  7. Sony's Patent On Apparent "matrix-like Technology" - (15)
Sony patents 'real life Matrix' Obviously the news report has been hyped up to a large
extent, but this patenting is ridiculous. QUOTE The patent - based only on a theory, not on
any invention... I mean, how the hell can you patent a theory...? Does that mean I could go
off and make a patent on something currently in development and yet not fully developed and have
exclusive rights to the technology or what? And does that mean they have exclusive rights to that
technology? (I think so, but then, I'm not an expert in IP law) Anyway, this is ...
  8. Boy Strangles Old Lady To Play Online - this is what technology does KILL (14)
QUOTE A 13 year old Vietnamese boy was arrested yesterday for allegedly strangling an 81 year
old woman to death. According to the local police, Dinh The Dan "confessed that he needed money to
play online games and decided to kill and rob the woman". The woman, Mai Thi Mau lost her life for
100,000 dong (around Rs. 244). After strangling her with a rope, Dan buried her in a pile of sand in
front of his house. The saddest part is that is that he won’t even go to prison! Here’s
what a local policeman had to say – "He is too young to be put in prison...
  9. Use Of Technology In High School - (57)
I really despise high school students that can learn real computer skills in their school; part
because my school's computer program is crap. Anybody can use the computer better than the
computer teacher, and most of us don't even get a computer class. The result? Half of my
classmates doesn't know how to use Excel or Powerpoint. Most of them hardly know what Photoshop
is. Technology is progressing at a really high rate, and it is becoming a big part of our lives.
You're basically disabled if you can't use a computer. So why doesn't high school ...
  10. The Marvels Of Technology - Smaller Device, Lots of Space (4)
The marvels of technology surprise me to this day. Like my new MP3 player for example. It's a 1
gig, and it's smaller than my index finger. Or my newest phone, is like half the size of my old
one, with a camera, more features, and four times as much space for downloads. iPods are mildly
annoying in their marvel. They're tiny, but hold so many songs. Like the iPod nano, which holds
1, 2, 4 or 8 gigs depending on the generation. The marvels of technology amaze me. It makes me feel
old not just to remember cassette tapes, but to own a cassette player and cassett...
  11. New Technology To Be Implanted To Human Body - computer and Human body to be merged (38)
I have read in the news paper, a local news here in the philippines that during the convention at
singapore, Bill Gates says "New technology soon to be implanted in the human body, but I will not
try this experimentation in myself.." Is it possible the somebody is working to implant computer in
the human body? Wow,,, very interesting, but do you think this will help us? if the computer is
inside our body, what does the computer do? maybe instead of using our mind the computer will think
for you... ha ha ha... that will makes us a robot... If this will happen, if bill g...

  14. Have You Heard Of Microsoft Surface? - New Technology (10)
QUOTE Overview: Surface is essentially a Windows Vista PC tucked inside a table, topped
with a 30-inch reflective surface in a clear acrylic frame. Prices will reportedly be $5,000 to
$10,000 per unit. However Microsoft said it expects prices to drop enough to make consumer versions
    feasible in 3 to 5 years. Surface is a 30-inch (76 cm) display in a table-like form factor, 22

well, i sure that you recently heard about LCD and Plasma monitors, but .... do you know whats the

these: QUOTE 1- Life span, the number of viewing hours a monitor provides before dimming to
half brightness, is one of the biggest advantages LCD has over plasma. Though the numbers vary among
the different brands, plasma displays generally offer around 20,000 hours, while LCD sets last for

  20. Tesla's Wireless Power Finally Coming True? - 21st century finally catches up with 19th century technology (7)
Nikola Tesla was one extraordinary man. The city of Buffalo was once his play ground for his ideas.
But due to many undocumented feuds with Edison (yes the very one) Tesla's contribution to
electricity world went less than well notice... that is until now. Tesla worked on transmitting
mass volts across the distance without the aid of clumsy wires. Let's face it, the power poles
and loosely hung black wires across your block are just an eye sore. But Tesla's methods were
quickly overshadowed by Edison's quick and easy solution--run wire grids to provide e...

by reading the activity of neurons then sending the data to a computer. Some scientists believe that
