Do you hate Internet explorer? or do you want other people to stop using Internet explorer and make them switch to another browser? If yes, then here's the time to show your support. I've started a campaign in which I am requesting people to stop using Internet Explorer, I am sure that most of us know why we've got to do this...I know most of us are intelligent
I think if anyone thinks the way I think..must take part in this campaign and must make other people aware about this...and help them to make a switch!

There is nothing wrong with using Internet Explorer! It's still a pretty decent browser, though lacking in features. In fact I think I'll register my support on spreadinternetexplorer.com just for the sake of it!

The part that matters to us is what Tyssen mentioned. IE5, IE6, and IE7 are all going to be non-compliant Browsers and it will only compound the difficulties that Web Designers have trying to make their sites work on the web. If the State or country you live in required you to drive in reverse on Tuesday and Wednesday of every week, would you like it? That's how knowledgeable web designers feel about IE. Like they are moving in reverse, back a decade to where every Browser had a differnt set of rules, so it was very difficult to design and code sites. Apparently IE7 is no different. They are refusing to use the standards which have been set for Browsers. Besides, Mr Gates doesn't need any more of my money. He must be getting close to having enough.

I'm all for people having their own choice and not having others' preferences forced upon them and while I'm a fan of Firefox I'm also not the sort of person to actively support anti-IE campaigns. But to answer your question, one of the reasons why it should matter is because IE's failure to fall into line with every other browser maker and adhere to W3C standards is actually hampering the advancement of the Internet. And some people believe that they're actually doing it on purpose. Companies like Google are working on technologies that would see applications delivered over the Internet, with the eventual outcome being that you probably wouldn't need an operating system anymore which will obviously have a serious impact on Microsoft's core business.

As much as I'm a Firefox user myself, most people in the world use IE. As well, there are some sites that require IE and wouldn't work on other browswers. I'll gladly support the campaign for others to stop using IE, but it may still be a long way before everyone abolishes IE once and for all - especially with IE 7 / Windows Vista on the horizon.

I would support an anti-IE campaign, people should speak out against things that don't work properly, don't follow the rules and are so insecure they have to release a bug fix patch every 5 minutes (ok maybe every 10 minutes ). People these days don't speak up when they receive a bad product or service, as a result, companies keep getting rich off sub-standard products

@ tt3 : I think the other responces have already given you my answer @ Tyssen, xaetos, jlhaslip, shigajet, terminal2k : That is why I've started this campaign! Well, my motive is to stop people from using IE...now the story is not that long... Why I jumped into this : Well, I was in techincal support of HP laptopts and almost every call we used to get was related to something like..popups, porn pictures and all spyware stuff....and the reason for that was that people used to visit all kind of rubbish websites using Internet explorer and due to that there computers got infected with spywares. So, I thought that there must be campagin which must stop people from using IE and then I got this idea from one of the website and thought that this a nice way and this way...more and more people will get aware of that fact! Now, coming to IE 7 : as Tyssen & jlhaslip have mentioned..that it also fails to support the standards and secondly..no matter...how secure Microsoft people will make it....there will be always a security hole and SPYWARE people will not hesitate to use that! The reason for that is that still IE is most used browser and SPYWARE makers actually target it!

IE8 is even worse then IE7!!!!
Do You Hate Internet Explorer? Show Your Support!
OMG! I'm working on a site for a client and I thought well lets check it in IE8. Result: Loads of script conflicts (such as PNG Alpha transparency in combination with jQuery opacity statements) and heaps of display problems. I've tried to look for a png fix such as the ones for IE6 and came to the conclusion... THERE IS NOT ONE!
AND NOW COMES IT!.
I've checked all the sites that I made over the last 2 years in IE8 and I was shocked to see that they all have major issues regarding usability, display and functionality.
After cursing for an hour or so and wishing Bill ****ing Gates everything what we don't want to have, I really don't know how I'm going to explain my former clients that I need days and in some cases even, weeks, to solve all the issues and that they have to pay for me to do so while actually BILL ****ING GATES have to pay me for that.
Seriously, I know that I as a web developer can't ignore Internet Explorer, because there are still too many end users stuck with the ****iest browser on earth, but deep in my Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome, etc, HEARTH... I WISH I COULD!

Yes. I hate internet explorer. Why? because of it's immunization towards spyware and scipts . also it has lot of security leaks than any other browser. Mozzila and opera are much better than other browsers. opera tops the chart with their consistent improvements and relevance to standards. Mozzila does require more RAM but it is better browser. Chrome looks good but on slower connection it sucks than any other browser. K-melon is also option if you've slow connection and RAM, instead of Firefox use that. But if you wish to choose between browsers then no matter what IE8 ships choose alternate browsers. like Opera, Firefox or Chrome instead of IE.

Internet explorer is definitely terrible. Firefox, or any other browser for that matter, is way better than internet explorer. Also it takes so much longer for IE to load when compared to other browsers such as firefox, opera, and chrome. I have been working on a site and it never seems to display the css how i want it to. Screw internet explorer, go FIREFOX!!!

Internet Explorer 8 is very good to browse. But Windows XP won't support IE8 so can use IE7. I am using Google Chrome to access my google account.I won't recommend Google Chrome for a regular use to access all websites.Download manager like orbit, fdm will not fully support Google Chrome and also the download manager within the Google Chrome is not good. In the case of download manager,Firefox is the best browser. I am wondering why Microsoft don't planing to include a download manager with their browser Internet Explorer Maxthon is another good browser..

Well I have just been testing and reviewing IE8 and it seems to have a very good speed to it however I think to make IE thrive they need like an add-on site like Firefox do. They could also have a built in spell checker like Google Chrome does however until they make them changes I will be sticking with firefox .
