The fact that all of their songs are so simplistic also bothers me. I'm not arguing their talent, but from what I see on stage/on the radio/on MTV it doesn't look like there is much work put into the guitar, because most of their songs have at least three power chords in every verse and chorus. I guess I'm the only one that this irks, but I can't stand how they're making so much money off doing something that anyone who has played guitar for a reasonable time can do... And then people have the nerve to call them punk.
I agree, Greenday are crap.... But, so are Metallica... those money grabbing copyright retards.

I really don't like any new music these days. It all went down the tubes during the last few years to answer your question yes I hate Greenday's music and I am tired of everyone obsessing about them and constantly playing there music. If people would just not play it every time I come to their house there would be no problem. I don't bug my friends with music they hate.

Most defintely, I don't like metal/rock music in general, but I hang out with a few white people, and they have these Greenday CD's and MP3's, and i'm like MAN, turn that crap off PLEASE, and they're blasting it all loud i'm like dude, if you're gonna spend lunch break doing this, i'ma hop in the car and run to taco bell. This is crap.
I don't like rock music really at all besides some Nickelback, and some various artists like Dave Matthews.

most of the bands you mentions used to be good and haven't put out anything good in years. Green day isn't the best but they're all right in concert. At least the like to tour and have fun, not so much about money like the stones. round
I don't have a clear answer for this because well, now that I've been an amateur musician for a while, and exploring different styles, I realize that Green Day's songs aren't that interesting musically. But, they were also one of the first bands I ever listened to, and probably the first band I was ever a huge fan of. I remember growing up listening to Green Day and relating to the songs they had. They seemed like a bunch of poor, socially inept teenagers and their songs were catchy. They also inspired me to play guitar and for the first year of my self-learning, all I could play were Green day and Ramones songs, but this made me feel like I knew what I was doing. It was great to be able to jam with my cousin (another punk rock fan) to some catchy green day songs. I knew the entire repertoire of green day and RAmones songs from all their albums (and others punk bands, like misfits). It's really not that impressive when you realize all the songs are relatively the same though
Green Day is getting kind of weird with their fame I think, but it'd be stupid for hating a band because they got popular and 'don't deserve it'. I think they deserve fame and money more than most of the junk they call music these days (What the hell are all these american idol singers that are being spewed out?) I don't listen to much (any) pop-punk-rock like I did when I was younger, but I think Green Day were and are at the top of that genre.
Billie Joe Armstrong was also named one of the "best" guitarists in the world by rolling stone i think?..... hehe.. I know it seems like a ridiculous thing to say that, and it probably is since he isn't that talented guitar-wise, but his guitar playing did inspire a lot of young guitar-newbies..... so maybe that counts for something.
Greenday's "Greatest hits" is a good purchase although personally i was dissapointed with their latest album but that is more so because it doesnt really fit within my tastes.
I could understand why some people dont like them, but personally if think they are a band deserving of the awards they have won.

Fair enough if you don't like them, your opinion, that's awesome. But when people say "There is nothing good about them!" Oh really? Nothing good in changing peoples lives and making their dreams come true?
How many bands do you know get audience members on stage and let them sing a whole song with their favourite band? I saw Green Day the other day after seeing them for years, and they just keep getting better and better.
Also, who ever thinks that Green Day are a "bubble gum band" are completely wrong! The audience is generally an older audience. Heck, I started listening to them when I was young, and I'm still a fan. When Green Day started off 21 years ago, young kids would listen to them, now those kids are in their 30's and 40's.
And a theory I heard about the Beatles not being a good band. What on earth is this person on, acid? The Beatles changed music. Anyone who thinks this is lies clearly knows nothing about music.
I'm not causing arguments or stating that you should be fans of Green Day, but just think about how many lives they have changed and what dreams they have made come true tonight. Because I see it every time I see them live. They pick people from the crowd to join them on stage to play instruments, sing, dance, crowd surf, take pictures with them or just to give them a hug. If your favourite band or artist did that to you, how would you feel? These guys are doing it every time they play live. So just think...You may not like them, but they do good things for people. They are not just money makers

UGH! You know what can really be a pain? Guys! Just last week, me and him were walking in the park

Have any of you ever been walking on like the sidewalk and gotten stuck between like three people
who are walking together and taking up the whole sidewalk? Now normally that woudln't be a
problem, but when they walk really slow and don't let people pass simply because they aren't

Omg.. ok so i think im tramatized, i logged into my msn, for no reason whatsowhever, and some random
guy on my msn sends me an invitation to use webcam, i was like, oh gad how annoying, and i exed it

I go to the doctors to get a physical one day, and this doctor had no idea what to do. So I was
sitting there while he kept going back to the main desk thing to ask what to do, or what something
was. It ended up taking me 4 hours to get a dang physical. And my Aunt got SJS(Stevens Johnson
Syndrome), she is in the hospital now. And there is not a single specialist at any local hospital,
so she is just laying there in a bed, hooked up to a Dialysis (does the work for her Kidneys). And
yesterday the doctor's told us her heart was failing, but she is still alive and it&....
This is some part of my school's rule about absency : 1. Bell rings at 6.50 AM 2. Student is

i have this chemistry teacher and she keeps finding new mays to piss me off. the whole school was
doing a project for chemistry, and i was asked by a teacher why we werent doing it.(it was during an
after school credit recovery program). i told her that my chem teacher didnt assign it to us. they
said that there was no way because the whole school had it. so they asked one of my classmates in
regular school and he said no too. then they started talking about it. and one of the teachers said

for four years now, i have been stuck with the lousiest MP3 player on the market, the iPod. It
doesnt support drag-and-drop and forces you to use the bulky, frustrating, proprietary software. It
also has EXTREMELY inflated the price of any electronics product with a lowercase i in it's
name, especially those made by apple. Lastly, there are so many great alternatives that people

Okay so there are two sides to this coin. On one side, commercial music has alowed artists to
distribute their music across nations and has alowed musicians to get paid rightiously for their
hard work. It is the fuel behind music and without it there would probably be alot less good music
out there to listen to. If you think about it, it pays for all the major artists, it gets the music
heard, it inspires more musicians who create more music and we get a never ending, increasing cycle.
On the other side of this very same coin, we find that the same money that fuels the ....
i hate dreams with a royal passion! i hate dreams because they show you what you want but in some
cases (allot) they show you what you cannot have! and it's not fair! that is probably the

html support full of spam. Now I host my own msql mysql php etc, for my projects on dictated
servers. And I know that its heavy to host if its used a lot. But html I really hate a host if he

Sorry if any of you here like to call yourself Chavs, but i really dislike them, The way they dress,
the attitude they give, and the foul amount of spitting they do! My town is almost plagues with them

Who here hate smokers? I mean, they go into a restaurant, sit in a non-smoking section, and smoke,
ignoring the sign. I also want to tell everybody that 2nd hand smoking is actually worse than the
smoker himself smoking it. In Houston, the mayor has already banned smoking in restaurants. Well,
