Hi Everyone,
I know I said this blog was closed, but I just thought I would do a posting.
It is the Christmas time of year again, so I thought I would write a message.
2007 has been a tough year for me, so I am going to be happy to see the end of it. Not for any one reason, just for a lot of reasons, none of which I will write about. I just wanted to write about Christmas.
Christmas is promoted as a time of year to spread joy and good will to all, and so it should be. This is a time of year when people should be getting together with family and friends, and having a good time. Really this is something that should be happening all year round, unfortunately it doesn’t happen. Today’s society seems to be in too much of a rush, to think about anything else that the instant. So it is a good thing when people slow down, even if it is just for Christmas day, and take stock of all the joys in their life.
At this time of the year though, this doesn’t always happen. I had the TV on in the background the other morning as I was getting ready for work. It was about 2am, and one of the American breakfast shows was on. They were talking about how to stop the fights that happen around the Christmas table, and one way that stuck with me was to invite an orphan to your home for the day.
Now they were not talking about the kind of kid you would find in Oliver, but just someone who is alone on Christmas day. It may be the old guy who lives down the road, or someone whose family is all interstate. You get the idea. So I put the idea to you to do this for someone out there. It might really make their year and your year too.
Myself, well I will be alone on Christmas day. I have had a couple of offers to join others for the day, but I have decided against it. Not because of Christmas, but because of something that is more important to me, but alas once again I will be missing. So instead, what I have done is swapped shifts with one of my fellow workers. This gives me something to do for the day, and it gives him a chance to have the day at home with his young children. So at least someone will get a win out of my loss.

That's actually really good... and, I think I agree with what he's saying, it just seems kind to invite someone over who has nowhere to go on Christmas, because while it's a time of year full of joy, a lot of people are really sad and lonely around that time, and I guess being alone while everyone else is happy would just be really depressing...

I don't know what he's on about when he says all that about christmas dinner table arguments. I see nothing but cheer from the christmas table. Must suck to have a situation like that. It's a pretty nice thought though really isn't it. After all christmas is about giving, giving a christmas is still giving none the less. I don't think I could do such a thing to be honest. I'm really not much of a people person. Did anybody do that?

Yes, today's society is in a rush. But I would not say Christmas time is less stressful. Running around buying food, gifts, candy, Christmas tree and such is very stressful. The only time when me and my family actually is relaxed is when my mother have decided that now everything is perfect, the food is done and the television is off. So around 4-5 hours are relaxing and not stressful. Rebecca is talking about the fights around the Christmas table, and that is something that I am not familiar with. It has never happened here, or at least not any big ones. Some discussions maybe, but nothing more. I did not really understand the essence of this topic.

Ok, so I hadn't seen the track back until now, but thanks for reposting my post. While my blog is effectively dead now, well I can't blog about 99% of the stuff I want to blog about because of court action, it is still going. What I meant in this post is, some families argue on Christmas day, because it is the only time of year they are all together in the one place. Usually alcohol plays a big part in the fights that happen. By having someone there who is not part of the family, people don't like putting on a show in front of strangers, so it helps to keep the peace on what should be a joyous day. Microsoft Rant. My Experience As A Customer
(2) This isn't going to be one of those 'mac rules windows sucks' posts. This is why I
dislike microsoft. It began with my desktop computer. The motherboard needed replacing, so we got
it replaced then windows didn't work. the copy that came with the computer didn't work

Another Cust. Service Rant... This Time As A Customer
(6) On monday I experienced something that I haven't in a long time. Good customer service. I work
in the line of customer service, and I have come to the conclusion, there are different levels you
can provide. True customer service is hardly ever given anymore. For example, I ordered from
McDonalds recently and I ordered a McFlurry and a Sundae. I was given a McFlurry and a Shake. It was
at the start of a minor busy period (3 or 4 people were behind me waiting to order), so I waited

Computer Giveaway
Free laptop haha (11) okay here is my vent and I am very steamed over it. While I was doing some work around the house
and listening to the radio, they played a sales ad for a free laptop. You would think the station
being one of the bigger ones in the NY area that they would not sell ad's to anything "funny"
Well I went to the site today, and read all of the page. and then started to fill out the form.
Mistake! that's when things really got going. in about 3 mins I had a good 30 E mails wanting me

My Rant On Video Formats And Compatibility
(11) Ok, well recently i bought a DVD Burner, and it works fine all to say, but i never knew that the DVD
Roms had to be a certian format (DVD+R or DVD-R)so i had to buy the correct format of the roms, then
i didn't know that the video that i wanted to burn to the DVD had to be a special format (.avi,
.mpeg, etc...) so now i have to go through this whole conversion process, then i have to make sure
that the format of the video is compatible with the DVD player that i want to play it on.. im like
argh! what a nightmare! SO my ideal it, to scrap all video formats and come ....
Immature And Annoying Students
Just a rant because it BUGS me! (7) Alright, here's some background info: I'm not a particularly evil person. I don't
spread lies or rumors, I don't talk back to anyone but teachers and parents, I don't pick
fights with other students, and most of all- I don't barely talk to them to do anything to them.
Now, for the reason I am here. I am one of those passive-aggressive kids in the high school who
will do anything to get a good grade and be on the teachers good graces list. The other day in my

My Stupid Friend And Her ...mess Up...of A Boyfriend!
A rant to vent my anger! (5) Hi everyone! This is just going to be one big rant cos i am so angry and i have to get it out or
ill explode! One of my best friends (who i also happen to have feelings for) has a boyfriend, now
thats a bummer on its own to me but it gets worse! Her boyfriend is an abusive (damn wish i could

Global Warming
Not exactly a what is, but a rant about it. :( it makes me sad (16) Why must the "War on Terror" be SUCH a major issue in this world, I'm not trying to be
anti-American, it's just with the war in Irag reaching a landmark in funding it really makes me
angry, when Global Warming a much more serious issue, recieves so much less attention from the
world's governments...At least I know the U.S. Is not doing all they could... For instance,
Brazil can produce enough ethanol to help with the massive consumption of crude oil in cars, yet

My Rant About Godaddy.com's Poor Support And Offers
(7) Ok, well recently i attempted to try and do this offer that godaddy.ocom and buy.com had, and it
was: If you buy somthing from buy.com, when you proceed to checkout you can redeme a coupon that
will get you a domain at godaddy.com...this was posted on a forum somewhere here on trap17.. I went
and bought a song last night, thinking i would get the coupon code to enter on godaddy.com to get
the free domain, nope i didn't.... its been a day now and i still dont have it..... and the

My Education Rant
Why did they lie?! (10) When I was in Elementary School, I was told that if I got a 4.0 in high school, colleges would look
for me and pay my way. They said "All you need to worry about is your education and you'll be
fine." That was one of the biggest lies I was ever told. I took some time to investigate and
found out that the main things that matter to a college are the SATs and what you did after
school. Lots of universities are offering full scholarships only for foreign language students and
people who are sports stars. What if you spend most of your spare time reading? Doesn'....

Huge Rant On Outsourcing
(7) This is the rant forum right? Spent an hour this morning typing this up about outsourcing in
America. It has to stop. I mean seriously. Freaked out of losing my job, and this is not cool,

Dells Computer Issues
My rant about delss computer issues (9) with my computer..it is only a little over a year old...and i have had oso many problems with it..
its a dell..and its getttoh lets see.first my ethernet conector went bad, then my motherboard, the

(10) This has got to be the crappiest host ever. Not only does it gives you ads out the ying-yang, but
making files avalible to download from what I hear ends up in a trojan! Thier ridiculous, I mean the
pop-ups are so bad you can't even peacfully post an update on your site using Cute News or
Fusion News. It's horrible, you get 2 pop-ups anytime you click a link! I'm glad I'm
working on getting Trap17 soon, My community seems like it's getting restless. If for any reason

A Little Rant About Ads

Leaving Trash In Public Places
The rant of a cleaning lady. (14) My dad is a minister and because of this, I've got the job of cleaning the church every other
weekend, which isn't a problem because it pays well for 2 days of work a month, but lately I get
VERY frustrated. What is up with people leaving trash in public places? Seriously! We had
vacation bible school recently, and the kids just left crud everywhere! It would be one thing if

flash designers piss me off (4) I've just been hired by a company full time, inhouse because their old flash designer said he
was too too busy to do work for them. So when asked for the fla files he send them all messed up. I
really hate that. Plus he's not the greatest designer but thinks he is. I mean he's open
about using other peoples scripts so that the sites he creates are really just patched versions.
It's taking me like forever to get just the simplest thing done, and i'm just waisting time.

A Rant On Ann Coulter...
Political rant, may get crazy. (5) Funny how when there is one thing completely out of balance, there's another that is completely
opposite to balance things out. For example, the movie "Unbreakable" by M. Night Shyamalan featured
one man who was easily injured physically, and another who was more durable than an M-1 Abrams.
Likewise, with the radical Micheal Moore, there is the reactionary Ann Coulter. Both are extremely
biased, and will defend their opinions irrationally, sometimes to the point of vile hypocrisy. Case

Angry Rant At Those Who Trounce The Usa And B*tch
[revised] and taken from my Livejournal (14) So I just read some journal entries about people who believe they have gone through bad times. I got
a few choice words for you. Be glad that you don't have the things over your head that I have. I
repent for the things I did everyday as I see them cross my eyes over and over every day of my life.

Dental Charges
rant (4) I’ve just had some dental work done – three sessions which was one root canal, one seemingly useless
session to scrape out some more of the gunk in the canal and replace the temporary filling and
finally, one white filling because my dentist totally talked me out of having an amalgam filling.
The cost of this (I’m an NHS patient) was £228 which I think is a bit steep. I didn’t have enough
money on me to pay for it so I paid £95 and promised to pay the rest later but now I’m considering

Proper English/Grammer (27) i just cant stand it when people dont use proper grammer. well i mean Speaking. and is this even
proper english? "excuse you" because alot of people have been saying this to me and i dont even
know if it makes sense. and dont get me started on how people end there sentences with prepositions.
for some reason it just annoys the heck out of me. alot. and when people spell things when typing
like. "u" and "y?" it doesnt take much time to type out words. it just shows how lazy americans are.
