This is a pretty nice find and all, but the maximum file limit of 10 mb's I find to be quite small.....I would need a server for things like Fraps videos and stuff, but they would be much, much larger than 10 mb. I guess for smaller items, though, it's fine.

Oh yeah I think I've heard of that (or something like it) It comes in handy when you have to send a file to someone, but if it is too large for their email server. You upload it here, get the location of the file (URL) sent to you in an email, then you forward that link to your intended receipient. That is at least one use for it.
The site isn't opening. Check out the link whether it is correctly entered or not. It is misleading, besides its like you are advertising another free host. I don't know if you are allowed to recommend or advertise any other free hosts here or not. I'm just curious to know if that site offers good free hosting or not.

That is incredibly impressive. There is so much good free stuff out there on the web, it's just a matter of actually finding it. Hosts are getting much much cheaper, I saw unlimited storage space advertised on ebay for $1 a month, that's not bad at all. I'd expect some catch though, can't be too careful these days.

I just tried it and the file uploaded fine but when I tested the link....it doesn't work. When I clicked on the >> Click here to download the file << link.....either nothing happens or it takes me to a cannot find server page.  
This is quite an old host. It has been going for a few years now. Most of the files located on rapidshare are Warez.

I was talking about rapidshare.de. Not everything has a catch (unless its a website called 0catch, then you have to pay for something that tells you it's free). It is a good idea, however GMail, Yahoo and several other email clients allow you to send files that are 10Mb and more. And you don't get bandwidth problems with them. rapidshare.com is ranked 12th in the world. That exceeds microsoft.com (not live.com or msn.com though), ebay.com, and every single other site ever made (except for the top 11 and itself)!
Too bad the download speeds are excruciatingly slow if you aren't a premium user
Yes, you are right, it is not opening, and i can not say why, but this topic was created a long time ago, go now to its latest creation:
http://www.rapidshare.com or even the not so old: http://www.rapidshare.de I like both, but they offer the same service, free file hosting or paid file hosting, and rapidshare.com is one of the most used services today all over the world.
