Nope, all you need to do is have a mysql database and a server that supports php.

If you have a cpanel, it can install it for you, instead of you doing it manually.

I came over a pretty nice forum I haven't seen anywhere earlier. It looks really good I think and includes an integrated personal message-system, calendar, stats, gallery and many other things. The only thing I can't seem to figure out is how to move posts... I think the only way to get this forum is to sign up at cyperlord.at. They will host it remotely for you without ads or popups. You can use the admin center there to easily change the whole design of your forum. Everything is simple to change; buttons, colour, images, width... Another cool thing is that you can make your forum into a news portal by simply adding a provided code on your site. In that way you can list all new topics in a forum on your site and visitors can click "read more" to visit the post in your forum. I tought that feature was pretty nice If you think this sounds good, check out the links below:

Obs!..one thing though.. the site is not in english, but ones you have figured out how to sign up, you can get a forum in english. It's not so hard really.

MyBB... MyBB... MyBB. Should I repeat that? MyBB!!

Mybb is the BEST... free forum software out there. It has many of the features that Vbulletin has and all the other forum softwares alike (phpBB, IPB, SMF, ect.) The plugin system that is used in Mybb is incredible. You can install so many plugins just by uploading them via FTP. Unlike phpbb, and IPB most of the plugins DO NOT require any edits to the core files. You do not even know how easy this makes things. When I used to use IPB and phpBB ect I remember them being extremly difficult to add modifications to because they always required siuch lengthy plugin edits. Sometimes, I would have to get people to do them for me because they were so hard to make happen. I would get so frustrated when all of a sudden I would get these crazy errors that I had no clue what they meant. Since the time I have acquired MyBB, I have never been happier with it. Not only are there great mods, there are some pretty good themes to go along with it. If you are interested in downloading the free mybb, go to the link below:

You can also make them in a CMS such as Mambo, Joomla or Drupal and add a forum component. I would suggest this if you are using a CMS as it will be less disk space.

http://www.forumotion.com is a good place to host a phpbb/ipb board without any downloads (thats where i host my site)

There's no way you can provide a vBulletin for free cause it requires license which cost money... So I supposed what vBulletin you're giving is illegal and consider warez?
