I've got some experience with being an admin as well as a moderator (trap17). I have created a forum with over 40 members and 3500 posts, so I've got some good advice that I could give you. And I've had experience in handling phpBB, IPB, MyPHP, Pun, and other fourms as well.
I came to Trap17 this morning and noticed that one of the posts I had made last night was on the
bottom of the last 30 list. Is this forum becoming inactive, or are most of the users concentrated
in North America?....

I occurred to me a while ago that many of the writings on this forum are either from complete
imbeciles or that many times people who are "contributing" are totally high or drunk. We got to
discussing this in the shoutbox the other night and I decided to start a poll on the topic. I
confess I'm not always totally sober when I'm on, but I've never been drunk either.
Getting high isn't something I do anymore. Most people grow out of that sort of thing after they

I have a forum right? I need some more people on it. Could someone please share their tips, how

For the most part ive had no problem with the amount of ads on this forum but recently the ones that
make sounds (refering mostly to the talking smileys) are very annoying. I really hope that in the
future ads will not concentrate on the use of sounds, more flashing to attract attention.....

Also this is still in the development stages but there a very few bugs now so a
new version of myBB (code named myBBGold) which will be hopefully the final release of myBB! Its
free too! Easy to install and requires 1 mySQL database and php to run.....

Recently, a forum that I spend a lot of time on went down. There are a lot of rumors about when it
will be coming back but nobody knows for sure. So what I did was, I made a new forum, a sort of
waiting room, and I invited a few of my friends. They signed up, but they don't have much to
say! I know that if there were more interesting conversations going on the word would spread and the
place would be a success. What are some good topics to get people to open up and start chatting?....
i used the invision to set up forum a week ago and it looked nice.now i try to use PHPbb to found a
