| | I found a brush on the internet that allows you to make cool fires without using filters. I'd post a picture of what it's capable of, but I suck at brushing. If any of you want to, then go ahead.

i've just downloaded the fire brush ... and i've tried them ... and the only thing i know about is that im a poor noob that dunno how to use a brush ... my image is very ugly ...

sniper bullets and cannon fire here i come  , ash its just takes practice brushing is it art, its all random at first but once you get into the layering of brushes it will all come out good in the end.

i tested it out the only good thing that it was designed to be random im going to post a sig with the brush being used but meh, something i wouldn't use everytime.

What do you mean that it was designed to be random? QUOTE You should never use the same stuff every time. Replace stuff with style and that sentence is completely false. If you found a style that you love, then keep going with it.

Thumbnail View In Gimp And Photoshop
Do either have tumbnails you can view while working in zoom? (2) MSPaint might be simple to the extreme, but one feature I've appriciated is the Thumbnail view
(View -> Zoom ->Show Thumbnail). If you're working on something close up in zoom, it lets you
see the image at 100%. Very helpful if you're doing pixel art or trimming the edges around a
render, IMHO. I can't seem to find a similar feature in GIMP. Does it have one? Would
Photoshop?....
In Need Of Photoshop Elements 2.0 Brushes
(1) I finally got Photoshop Elements as I promised to do before the summer. I got a bit comfortable
working in the environment, which is a bit (no sorry, a lot ) neater than GIMP's. I like some
of the Photoshop tools, like Layer Styles (a quick n' dirty way to make some nice team icons for
forums), but I'm a bit frustrated over the fact that there are no brushes out there that work
with Elements 2.0 (and of course I'm too cheap to buy even Elements 4.0, let alone CS2). I tried
a brush set from deviantART, which wouldn't load, and one from the GFX departm....
