I love how I have sendmail and my own email account here, but I don't know how to access them. When I created my account, I put in my home email address because that's supposed to be there. But instead of having my users email me at my home email account in my contact form, I would like to have them email me here at trap17. I went into my Email Management and saw Add/Remove Email and created one called Custergrant@custopoly.trap17.com...and it created correctly and all. But if I have users email at this, how do I read it? Do I click Read Webmail? And how do we get accounts at this SquirrelMail and Horde? I'm very confused about this, so if anyonce can help, it'd be greatly appreciated. |

If you want to do it via your Cpanel, click on Read Webmail, and then click on Horde. My log out isn't working but if I can remember correctly, just click on the language you prefer and it should either log you in or you should use or Cpanel user name and password to log in. Or if the login wants your email use that and the password you set up for it. Or if you have Microsoft Outlook, you can set up your account to log in on that. Just go to "Add/Remove Accounts" and then click on the Outlook Icon and auto configure it for access.

I am not sure if this is with only this host, but anybody with that email to check webmail.. I THINK can go to subdomain.trap17.com:2096/ I think that is the url for the webmail, well it is for me

If you've got a Domain name, you can sign up for the Google Apps for Domains, http://www.google.com/a/with this service you get your email id of your own domain say yourname@yourdomain.com you get 2GB space for free, the same GMAil interface and more features for free. Managing your email using this serivce is easier than using sendmail or squrriel mail in your cpanel. Moreover you save a lot of space in your server.

Okay, well, I'm using a subdomain here, so can I still use that account on the link below you gave me? Otherwise, I can just transfer everything to my hotmail account, which isn't too bad, I suppose.

you can get your email using the subdomain you got while registering in trap17 free hosting. sign up for the Google Apps and change the MX record for the subdomain in your cPanel and after validation your mail will be active. if you need any help, either pM me or ask here.

Just wanted to add to this that I was resigned to using Horde or Squirrel Mail which were both doing my head in until I read this thread. I'm now up and running with Google Apps and I'm loving it. Just like my ordinary email. So thanks very much to the posters who suggested it. Helped me out a lot. Is there anything that Google don't do!? Cheers, std

I beleive that there is a way, if you want to have like staff emails, to hook it up with a desktop email client (like thunderbird or something) but i totally forgot, im sure you can search and find out, i know when i had ipb, they had tutorials there on their website on how to set it up, idk if you can access without being a client, but you can at least try. Otherwise everyone else is right, just click read mail. OR you can have the mail forward to a different email, which is easiest thing to do with staff email.

How To Transfer Files Directly From My Computer To The Trap17 Account
(8) Hi! I've been hosted in trap17 for almost 4 months now. In the beginning, I tried to setup a
WebDisk to directly transfer files from my computer to my hosting account, but I didn't manage
to make it work. It might have been from my Vista's weird firewall settings, or my ISP settings,
I have no idea. Anyway, I used the File Manager since, as I don't have a lot of files on my
site. Needless to say, it is really annoying when I do just some little changes and I have to go
again through CPanel, FileManager, UploadFile... pffff So my question to you... How....
Problem Concerning Credits Reduced

over 37 credits, positive and green of course, and when the admin actually approved the request, and

Suspended Account
I need help and fast (1) My account was recently suspended because my hosting credits went below 0.00 days, this was totally
unintentional because i was away and didn't have access to a computer. It was a family issue.
Anyways i posted in the forums and my hosting credits are now 6.34 days, but when i try to log into
the c-panel it doesn't want to enter. It doesn't say anything about an error, the page
simply doesn't load. I don't know what the problem is and i want to use the same sub domain.
what should i do. do my credit have to go up to a certain number or what exactly is....
Cannot Connect With Ftp [resolved]
Default account can, but not created FTP account. (3) I have a bit of a strange problem that someone here may be able to help with. I am preparing my new
Trap17 account for my new site, and am setting up FTP access. I can login quite fine by using the
default login details, using my cPanel username and password as my FTP login credentials. However, I
have created a new FTP account using cPanel, giving access directly to the /public_html/ folder,

How Do I Close My Hosting Account?

Form Not Returning Correct Email Address
(5) I have just noticed another side effect of the recent server migration. On my web site I have a
comment form. After filling in the form the user gets a confirmation email and I get an email to
tell me someone filled in the form, and showing me the data that were filled in. First of all, I
got all emails twice, but I think I managed to fix that in the PHP code. What is worse, though, the
user still gets his/her confirmation and thank you email, but, instead of my email address, the
From: field now gives an aaddress on the server my account is on, ie. the gamma server. D....

Gamma Servers' Problem
This topic is for all who have their account on Gamma Server & ha (1) Okay I see a lot of chaos all around and my site zoebelkin.co.cc is still down. Everything including
FTP, CPanel etc are down. My site is on the gamma server. I see that all the servers are moved
around a lot and the IP blocks also changing. So what is the new IP set for 'gamma'. When
doing a reverse check on gamma I see it is still assigned to it's previous IP but when I'm
trying to access the previous IP's port 80 then I get a Server not found error. Also the
gamma.xisto.com name for the server fails to open the default Apache page which it used to ....
