You got it!, PHP is server side scripting, if there's no server.. it cant script! So install Xampp, or Wamp (xampp is better!  ) It'll create a folder c:/wamp/www/ That is your "localhost"? It'll all become clear when you've done it. Remember that some php scripts wont work on the server your install, as your hosted, try double checking before you give up completely (as I have done duh!  ) The main difference between xampp and wamp is not only it's extra "p" but its user ability wamp is easiest, wile xampp is slightly more difficult! Try them both out, and enjoy! Hope this helps karlos

Dreamweaver Cs3: How To Link Content To Layers/apdivs
(7) Hi all! I've been searching the internet like crazy but just can't find any answers to my

A (hopefully) Simple Dreamweaver Question

Blogging Software
can anyone suggest me? (9) I am looking for a blogging software for wordpress. I know of Windows Live Writer Beta, but the
only problem with it is it doesn't accept html tags in a post while in wordpress it is possible
to put tags such as and stuff like that. The blogging software should also allow me to format
pictures by putting borders such as a drop shadow or photopaper like what is commonly seen in
today's blogs. Can anyone suggest anything?....

Browser Based Proxy
(1) So, being in school, and known as the nerd, I often hear "Dude, get me onto Myspace!". Most of the
time I just say no, but if I can install a proxy directly into my site and allow students to go
around proxies simply by going to my site and typing a web site into a text box and clicking "Go!" I
can't even imagine the amount of traffic I'd get. So, my question is, how hard is this?

Which Forum Software Should I Use?
Please suggest me some scripts (28) OK, here is my predicament, I know I've posted this before, but... This time I have tried both
forums... I am trying to decide between IPB and phpBB. Here is what I want for my forum from each
software... I like the ease of use, and simplistic design of phpBB. I like the many feature of IPB,
such as changing rankm colors, and the rank masking system for forum permissions. I also want three
of the mods I currently have on my forums, the Army System, IBPro Arcade, and D2-Shoutbox, I know
phpBB has an Arcade mod, and a Shoutbox, but frankly they both need some work ....

Dreamweaver's a good Webdesigning Studio (22) I recently downloaded Macromedia's Dreamweaver 8, and I can say that it is the greatest
webdesigner that the world has ever seen! The only problem is that it costs too much money in my
tastes, but otherwise it is perfect! Does anyone know of a webdesigning studio that does not cost
any money and that can be downloaded off the internet? I tried using Notepad++ (search Google, I
cannot recall the site) and it is a coder, but not a webdesign. It doesn't actually show you

Dreamweaver Permissions Issue
Access denied when trying to FTP (6) Okay, so I was trying to FTP these files over dreamweaver today... and it seemed to be working fine.
But then, certain files won't let me transfer from my hard drive to the internet, or the other
way around. It gives me this error message: QUOTE An FTP error occured - cannot put form1.html.
