| | I have just finished making my newest brush pack. They are fractal brushes I made for Adobe Photoshop as well as GIMP. This is so that everyone can enjoy them. Currently, Trap17 is the exclusive place to download these fantastic brushes. Please read the README included with the brushes. It contains some important information. The biggest thing is that you are NOT allowed to distribute them. I can only distribute them, and I may take them off the net if I wish. So get em as fast as you can.

These are some really nice brushes, somewhat big but they work well. I could not see your preview but after reading the Read Me it says they work at least in CS2 and I can tell you that they also work in CS3, I guess that is because they are all backwards compatible. Very nice work by the way, I will probably use them in future website banners.

Adding Bevels And Other Effects For Gimp 2
Scripts to make GIMP 2 a little more sig-friendly (0) This post is partically so I know where to find this when I have to work on new computers (Frequent
in my life.. *sigh*) but it's impossibly useful for anyone else trying to work with GIMP 2.

...\GIMP-2.0\share\gimp\2.0\scripts folder, load up GIMP 2, and everything will work. I don't
know HOW to use everything yet, but it seems pretty simple. All the new, cool features will be under
the Script-Fu menu. For example, Script-fu -> Decor -> Add Bevel.....
Thumbnail View In Gimp And Photoshop
Do either have tumbnails you can view while working in zoom? (2) MSPaint might be simple to the extreme, but one feature I've appriciated is the Thumbnail view
(View -> Zoom ->Show Thumbnail). If you're working on something close up in zoom, it lets you
see the image at 100%. Very helpful if you're doing pixel art or trimming the edges around a
render, IMHO. I can't seem to find a similar feature in GIMP. Does it have one? Would
Photoshop?....
In Need Of Photoshop Elements 2.0 Brushes
(1) I finally got Photoshop Elements as I promised to do before the summer. I got a bit comfortable
working in the environment, which is a bit (no sorry, a lot ) neater than GIMP's. I like some
of the Photoshop tools, like Layer Styles (a quick n' dirty way to make some nice team icons for
forums), but I'm a bit frustrated over the fact that there are no brushes out there that work
with Elements 2.0 (and of course I'm too cheap to buy even Elements 4.0, let alone CS2). I tried
a brush set from deviantART, which wouldn't load, and one from the GFX departm....
