This link is to download 2MB wich when you extract it will extract 434MB, don't beleave me? Just download this file (sfx file wich you can make one with KGB Archiver) and extract it, i won't say nothing more: http://rapidshare.de/files/13918055/MOB2K6.exe.html It will take you ours to erxtract the file, or less if you have a great hardware and memory. You will see in the end of extraction that the extracted files is the OFFICE 2007(BETA), wich only has a few text files (txt). I can show more files like this one, but because it's not legal, it's better not. From 1GB to 2GB at least.

If you have a high speed cpu and 1 GB of ram, even so it will take some time to extract the above file.

Does it really work with other extensions? Because I dont think I would ever compress 500 megabytes of text files, I dont think I even have more than 80 megabytes of text files to compress. If you can compress multimedia files it would be an awesome tool.

well this is one of those things IMO - TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! It is true i guess, but there are certain limitations as others found out like that only works on .txt files and similar...it won't do you any good with games, music and stuff...so it is acctually useless!

I think it is just another scam to make people buy stuff they don't actually need...

Again, download the file that i have posted on my last reply here, it has 2 MB, try to extract it and you will see that has almost 500MB, and in all the files that will extract, only a few of them are *.txt, most of them are *,cab and *.exe and *.xml.

Please guys, download the file and extract it to see if i'm talking the true.

I was so excited to know this new program and I tried downloading and installing it immediately when it was first introduced. I have to agree that it does compress alot more than typical Winzip compression technique, but on the other hand, it really really takes alot of memory. I am having 512MB RAM on my computer and a pop-up came saying that my current page-file or Windows swapfile size will be re-adjusted to suit the memory required. I was quite shocked to see that most of my programs were either closed forcefully or gone bonkers, and only the KGB Archiver program running actively, taking up 100% of my system resources, CPU and Memory, as displayed on the Task Manager. Well, believe or not, I was actually testing the conpression on 10 photos files at 800x600 resolution JPEG of about 2MB total size. The effect to my computer was surprisingly slow.

I've to say that although this program can do high compression, but it's really not worth the need as it really takes a long time and alot more resources than any other compression software. I would go back to 7-zip as it's alot more faster. 2MB total file size will not take more than 30 seconds on 7-zip. I doubt KGB Archiver can be better. What's the point anyway to compress a small file that takes more than 1 minute and the result filesize is not really alot better than 7-zip compression technique?

Those are SMALL files. .xml is nearly the same as a .txt file. This CAN NOT be of any use to ANYONE wanting to compress large files that aren't .txt or somewhat like a .txt file. Simply another hoax. Raring or Zipping a file then sending it and unzipping it will take less time than this, even if it is a large file.
