| | My request for host account has been approved. In it I asked for a sub-domain. I have not yet created my hosting account.
Now I have bought a top level domain.
Can I use that Domain Name instead of the sub-domain I requested in my account creation process?
Or do I have to first use the sub-domain and then use the 'domain changing process' to change it to my new domain? |

just create your hosting account then setup your new domain name in your control panel, you will need to point your domain name to the trap17 servers

If you have not created your hosting account yet, during your account creation you may choose to activate your hosting account with a domain name. Be sure to change your nameservers so that your hosting account is properly associated with your domain name.

My Free Hosting Account Request

that every one else's above and below mine has been reviewed, but mine hasen't been
thouched.... It also says that I have no hosting credits on the form, but the box on the forums page

Domain Name Changed
Please Read (4) On my free web hosting application, I requested that my subdomain be (bangms.trap17.com). When I
logged in to my Credit System Control Panel and registered a subdomain name, I decided I wanted to
change my subdomain to (ampdms.trap17.com). I think this is the reason why my page can't be
displayed when I try to see my site (ampdms). I'm just letting you know so you can cancel the
bangms subdomain and add my new subdomain name (ampdms).....

My Domain Is A Subdomain, But A Domain Regardless
It's from dyndns.com and it doesn't start with www (2) I have a sub-domain blah.blah.blah through DynDNS.com, but not www.blah.blah. Well I could set the
*.blah.blah.blah wild card, but then I'd have www.my.domain.name (with 3 periods...), is it
possible I can host the domain without using the www. in front? Or do I use the domain.com (which
isn't mine) and in my configuration here on trap17, add the subdomain as a virtual host? I'm
confused. I click on Create a Hosting Account and I get a page to enter my domain details and a
username & password to use. Well when I applied for hosting priviledges, does the ....

Invalid Username/password During Account Activation
(1) When I made my original request for a free web account, the instructions didn't seem to say that
the username had to begin with an alphabeticaL character, so I chose one that began with a numeral.

(3) I realize that I cannot keep remaining active. I sort of just drift to websites when I feel like it.
I can't stand sites that make you remain active on the forums in order for hosting. I perfer the
Sv2 Network because they don't make you remain active on the forums. Your site just needs to
remain active. Also I can't do much with only 20 MB of space. I get a 100 MB for free with the
Sv2 Network and thats just signing up without a requirement. So please terminate my hosting
account. I cannot keep remaining active day after day and earning my days to remain ....

Unsuspend My Account
please (7) I had over 25 credits when my account was suspended. I used the suport ticket thing and they said
that my account was suspended for resource usage and spam. I barely used over 500mb a month, and i
never spammed with my account beside for the fact that my forum is unactive and might result in
spamming through time. I tried to replied asking for more detail about resource usage and spamming,
it has been 5 days and i still didnt' get a response. i have read the other topics and seem
like two person got supended for no reason... i wonder if it's the same for my case....
