| | Hello, I have received mails during this weeek telling me that my website had reached 80% of its bandwidth limit. But I´ve checked it on cpanel and my stats are right now 813.99 / 5000 MB... and I´m working these days on the site, constantly uploading and testing things so I suppose that normally I wouldn´t use as much. But anyway it´s not near the limit and it´s definitely not around 80% so... what can I do? Am I doing something wrong? By the way, I haven´t experienced problems... I mean, the website hasn´t got down in any moment.
The mail tells me to contact the system admin so here I am. |

what about the storage? where are the figures for that? Is it possible you are looking at the Bandwidth and the email said Storage?

Thanks jlhaslip, but it talks about bandwidth. Anyway my storage used is 48.82 out of 150.00 MB  Should I PM Opaque?

I would definitely ask a moderator or an admin about your predicament, as it seems that either there is a fault in the system, or that you may have not updated the figures on the control panel. If I were receiving emails such as these then I would definitely want to know why I was receiving them. When I was with my old web host (it only had 100 MB bandwidth) I used to get emails all the time saying that my bandwidth was close to used up, or that it was used up. It turns out that the emails were old, as I never checked the date and the bandwidth wasn't used up as it stated. So when I found out I wasn't as confused as I was before. Maybe the email was about your bandwidth but you received it before the end of the last month, so by now it had reset and you have used a bit more? That would seem to be the reason why you were getting those emails. But I think that you should always PM a moderator or an admin if you ever come across a problem such as this, I hope that I may have helped you by providing you with some ideas and maybe even given you the reason why.

Bandwidth Limit Still Exceeded!
Am I done for this month?? (9) I was earlier on the basic plan at trap17. This month I ran out of bandwith on he 13th of this
month. I then decided to upgrade my account. I filed an application and was approved by the admin.
I went to http://www.trap17.com/process/ as I was told in the email and upgraded my account
successfully. But my site www.angadsodhi.com still shows the message 'Bandwidth Limit
Exceeded'. Won't the upgrade take place this month?? Will I have to wait till Jan?....
Bandwidth Counter Not Working
(17) In my CPanel, the bandwidth counter is constantly at 0, it never changes. I can never see how much
bandwidth I've used this month. My awstats never work also, so i have no idea how much traffic
is coming through my site. Does anyone know how I can fix my bandwidth counter? Thanks.....

How do I make it and read my mail? (8) Hey guys, I love how I have sendmail and my own email account here, but I don't know how to
access them. When I created my account, I put in my home email address because that's supposed
to be there. But instead of having my users email me at my home email account in my contact form, I

Email and created one called Custergrant@custopoly.trap17.com...and it created correctly and all.

Web Mail Forwarding Not Working?
(0) I set up a several email accounts on Cpanel, and am trying to forward the mail from some of them to
a gmail address. So far nothing's been forwarded. Also, when composing email, I've noticed
the "receipt" function doesn't work. Any clues, anyone? On another note, I noticed Cpanel

Memory Usage
(5) I have WordPress installed in my site. And I know the default memory-limit is 8 mb. What I would
like to know is how do I find out how much memory I am using and which process is using the most
amount of memory. Apparently, WordPress is consuming a lot of resources and when I tried adding a
new plugin to my site, they gave me an error saying that I have exceeded my memory limit of 8mb. Is
there a possibility for Trap17 to increase it to 16 mb? I am running very few plugins, and I
don't understand why this problem is occurring. Can someone assist me?....

(3) I received an email today with the subject "Disk Usage Warning (critical)" from my a server named

how to use sendmail? (3) hello guys!.... at last i discovered that using sendmail the mails i send, arrived directly to the
inbox folder in accounts like MSN or YAHOO!, that is very useful when you have a list to some

I have never had a problem with the getting mail part. I can not send however. I have put my smtp

Hm? (10) I was supposed to have 1GB of bandwidth, when I went to sleep, I remember just logging out of my
cPanel and having consumed ~30MBs. Which isn't even 3% of my total allowed bandwidth. So, did
someone find out my FTP password and purposely take down my site, or someone abused the upload
feature on the forum and uploaded it to death? (mind you, there was a 2MB upload limit for all
accounts, and only 30MBs of the total account space was allocated for uploads. Therefore, someone
had to have made 500 accounts and uploaded around 966.66 MBs worth of files in order to do tha....
