An App A Day - Follow the 'Software Jedi' as he creates an App a Day for on m

Shadowcast
A collection of applications created daily (15 Sept' - 15-Oct'), all of which are free and you can even suggest what apps the Jedi makes. I will just warn you that I haven't actually tried any of these so I cannot comment on the quality and I cannot say for sure that none of these are malware.

Of particular note (to me anyway) the 'WPM Tray' which monitors you typing speed in words per minute in real time, good for the geeks, I would also like to draw your attention to Missile Command, those who are old enough should know (some younger people should know too) however there's a little twist.

Anyway there's still time to get in on the app-y goodness, and get those suggestions in, or just play with the polar bear tracker...

Edit: opps sorry looks like I'm an idiot and forgot the link, fortunately kkrizka & Plenoptic were on hand to point out my idiocy.

You forgot to mention the link: http://www.anappaday.com/

I read about this guy some time ago and some of his apps are quite original or just plain useful. For example, I just found out that he coded a expose-like effect for Windows Vista. I think that's the coolest thing on mac and probably the only eyecandy that can we called useful. Check it out here: http://www.anappaday.com/downloads/2006/09...oncentrate.html

Looks pretty interesting. I have downloaded a program here and there just to see how well they work. I think it's a pretty good idea and I'm rooting for him. I am sure it must be tiring to do this. I downloaded the WPM tray just to try it out tongue.gif I've always wondered how fast I type considering I use the shoutbox a lot. For those who don't have the link I looked it up http://anappaday.com

Although the idea is original, interesting and attractive at first sight, the free tools have no interest to me, at least yet, but i will pay them a visit soon to see what was created.

Although i see the effort the Jedi is making to keep up, it is impossible to created really usefull free tools, i really think it is better to change the name to app in a week, instead of a day, perhaps a week would be enough to created a free and usefull tool with more features, with more functions, with testing already done, but anyway, i apreciate his/her effort.
