| | Yesterday was the biggest milestone in Firefox history they just hit 500 Million downloads of their most famous software the Firefox web browser. All I have is WOW! and such a short time to of course when you create a program that is more advance, more secured, and just plain out more better then everyone else's, that number isn't that surprising because of the popularity it has receive in under 4 years of being out there. Of course with Firefox 3 on it's way out I would be surprised if it hits 1 billion in less the time though.

Well, Firefox is plain better than most of whats out there. Not to mention its huge ability to be customized with the millions of extensions out there. on a pc, i use firefox, on my mac i use camino which is a cocoa (I don't actually know what cocoa is on a mac) port or version of firefox... I did have firefox but it kept crashing so i switched to camino which described by mozilla as 'Firefox Mac style' I Love firefox

I must say, Firefox is not too bad. It has the stability that IE can't offer, and it's an amazingly fast browser. I myself prefer Opera, but the idea is still there. I'm glad to see browsers other than IE make it into the big-business. FF is defenitely giving MS a run for its money.

wow, I betcha that's more than the downloads for internet explorer . Firefox is better and more secure, so I'm glad to see so many people use it, unfortunatly i must say, i think 3 or 4 of those hits are just me, but i'm sure there 500 million unique hits now .

I think the most important milestone was the first one: 1 million. With 500 million, it just gets higher and higher... There'll be another announcement at 600 million, 700 million, etc. up to 1 billion. Then it will start going up at 2 billion, 3 billion, etc. until it reaches the 6 billion mark, which would be impossible, considering there aren't even that many users of the Internet, and most won't download Firefox originally more than once.

Yeah, that's very true. I myself downloaded Firefox over 20 times though. Anyway, there aren't many types of add ons for Firfox 3 Beta 3

Firefox is really good! I used to use Opera and couldn't start using anything else, because I was so used to it. Then I switched to Mac for two months and now that I am back using Windows XP, I think Firefox is the closest thing to Safari so I started using it and I am already starting to love it! Good job for the 500 million - well deserved!

Hackers Focus Efforts On Firefox, Safari, And Office
(1) QUOTE Many people are switching from Internet Explorer to alternative browsers such as Firefox
and Safari. Though that might make them feel more secure, the shift has also opened new doors for
bad guys. Case in point: We have no IE bugs to report this month, but both Firefox and Safari have
been hit hard. So forget the idea that just because you've switched to a new browser,
you're magically safer. You may be for a time, but to stay safe with any software, you need to
keep current with fixes. Firefox Holes In a somewhat dubious recognition of Firefox's....

Mysql, Php, Apache Downloads And Setup Was A Nightmare
Mysql, PHP, Apache (9) Mysql, PHP, Apache downloads were easy enough. Then came the setup process. This seemed to be an
endless mess of going back and forth trying to get the programs to work together properly. Finaly I
got them working after about 48 hours. There are great tutorials on the setup process, but only one
or two actualy were easy enough for me to understand. I would like to see if I was the only one who
had issues with this setup. Are there easier ways to setup the three?....
Firefox Feel
(6) If you use FireFox as compared to IE, You'll see just in the way pages are viewed the feel and
look of them are smoother the IE's rough view of sites. You may not know what I mean, but think

is a little rough like IE too, I think FireFox is the most user friendly and smoothest.....

Mozilla Out With Firefox 3 Beta 4
The beta 4 version of FireFox 3 is out .. (1) QUOTE The just-released beta 4 version of Firefox 3 offers a few visible additions to the
browser. For example, the download manager has been improved, making it simpler to locate and work
with downloaded files. It's quite nice -- you can easily search through your downloads. Also,
Firefox now integrates directly with your virus scanner, and shows the scanning being done right
inside the download manager. And you can see the icon of the file you've downloaded, making it a
lot quicker to identify. The primary interface has been somewhat modified to look more....
Firefox 3 Sucks - Time For Another Browser
(31) No seriously, I've been using Firefox since 0.x releases. I loved it. Every release, despite

default interface is ugly. And no Home button, really ??? (ps. I kno i can drag it back from the
bookmarks toolbar but still, its stupid). The address bar search thing. I liked the concept, but I
am so used to the old way, this actually distracts me, I don't want to search my history

New Rapidshare Hack For Firefox Users
(19) QUOTE The hot new Firefox plug-in takes browser customization to a whole new level by letting
users filter site content or change page behaviors. The glory of open-source software is that it
allows anyone with the inclination and the scripting knowledge to get under the hood and hot-rod
their computing environment. But most of the time, that advantage is available only to people with
the programming skills to make the changes they want. That's where Greasemonkey, a free plug-in
for Firefox, comes in -- it simplifies hacking the browser. Released at the end 2004....
