Well, there are lots of other email services which offer 1gig or higher space, but i don't think those services will ever be as stable as gmail or even last as long as gmail can.. I'm very happy with my 1gig of space at gmail and i don't even think i'll even be able to use 1/2 of it, so i don't think i'm trying it out ... read more.

Check it out a email website that has a 3gb email limit and is open to the public.

No having to worry about google and its 37 year cookie. And all the other privacy issues with gmail.

if you ask me, gmail rip-off. i trust google and until i find issues with google, im sticking with them.

yourname@gmail.com looks better than the selection they got too. i prefer looks over space..

see they only problem with google is your privacy isnt really safe at all. If you look up info about privacy and google... youll understand where I am coming from.

The space is good but the domain names they offer are not so good. They are very lenghy words. I am not going to use it. My gmail is good for me.

I agree with clouds 421. What shall i do with 3 gb space? And the domains are not good... I think gmail rules, and you can add the 1gb of the gmail on your pc via the drive shell extension... And gmail is very organised, and it will even improve, cz its still at beta version...

3gb is way more than anyone would ever need.
Even with the privacy issues, I can see gmail rising above hotmail sometime in the future, it's amazingly easy to use, uber-fast, and the labels system is truly revolutional. I could never go back to hotamil now, even though they have raised their limits to 250mb.

    my friend and i are going to have a tournament for quake2 ctf. we want to try to make sure someone
    doesn't signup with two different teams or something. i was thinking for the player to email us if
    they wanted to join the tournament. if they use something like gmail rather than a pop3 to email us,
    it shows the ip of the gmail or whatever server rather than the person's ip. is there a better
