clocking is not the best thing to do I would rather go out and spend my money and get more RAM. Overcloaking can have serious problems.
The easiest way is to access to the BIOS and increase the FSB. But don't increase it to much because the computer might refuse to start.
i ma really noob bios i know but it is locked....
what Motherboard&Processor do u have?
intel pentium 4 1.7 ghz motherboard not sure coz it came from dell
my firend made a science project from overclocking he built a vent inside the tower and puts in a slab of dry ice cant rmeber everything else he did oO
QUOTE i ma really noob bios i know but it is locked.... If you mean the bios is locked with a password, you can get around it by unplugging the computer. When you've done that, you open it and remove and re-inserting the battery. This will reset the bios to factory setting. You will loose all changes you've made since you got the computer.
hi,
u can try overclocking as experiments, bu dont recommend to overcloak forever, it reduces processor life, as that causes extra heating,
Yes, i dont want to risk it myself, and i dont think my CPU is very compliant with overclocking

I've tried overclocking my ATI 9800 XT.. But It went broke
no...its not lockedby password ... i think it is locked by the producers...in this case dell...
lol.... just a few moments ago I overdawed my CPU a bit...actually, it was the RAM memory which had a problem with 166 MHz and the PC refused to boot up... so, a CMOS reset had to be done...
