As a legally blind person who has used both a cane and a guide dog, I've noticed the different
ways people treat people with disabilities. When I was using my cane, people tended to ignore me. No
one said hello. I think people just looked at the cane and didn't really see me. But with my
dog, it's totally different. People say hello to me all the time. They recognise me, even if
