I thought the address for the site was

http://googlue.trap17.com

But that gave an error page.

So I tried

http://www.googlue.trap17.com

It worked!

What does that mean?

It doesn't matter whether or not you include the www prefix.

Doesnt it depend if your browser is set to find the most likely address for a shortened url?

that is true but this issue is a minor

it depends on server/dns settings
fe doom9.org was different from www.doom9.org (i have jsut notised that this great site has finally got their stuff right so for now this is not a good example)

Well, somehow, it is working now. I did not change any settings... and it happened in all my browsers - Firefox, Opera, Mozilla, Maxthon and IE!

May be some www blackmagic?

It is working now and that is good.

BTW, I realized when I came back to see this post of mine. I clicked on the first link and it opened!!

well either way, you probably just needed to either restart your browser or your computer, that usually fixes the problem i've noticed
