Well, I would suggest you to first see which of the plug-ins K2 supports fully are needed by you. Check out this page- http://k2.stikipad.com/docs/show/Supported+Plugins
Here is the list for you- QUOTE Nybble’s Sidebar Modules Quoter Edit Comments Brian’s Latest Comments Noteworthy WordPress Widgets FlickrRSS Related Posts Extended Live Archives Time Since Ultimate Tag Warrior Gravatars Favatars Subscribe to Comments I would even like to suggest you this one- Timeline plugin: http://www.davidgagne.net/?p=6188 It is kinda like you can maintain a small journal on a page, like a timeline or something where you can add small posts which contain only 1 lines like maybe something that's bothering you like, "Urgh, I do need to buy another mouse now." |

This is really cool, the use of the K2 theme; the most customizable theme in WordPress. I have been using Wordpress for more than a year now so I think it would be good for me to share some of the themes I like most in Wordpress or am currently using in my blog.
Ultimate Tag Warrior http://www.neato.co.nz/ultimate-tag-warrior/ It was mentioned in sylenzednuke's post, this is the ultimate tagging system for posts, I think you could have guessed it from the name. For me, it has replaced my categories feature, so I would render categories as useless. Why use categories when you can have tags to effectively describe each entry with more details? Wouldn't Chicken Kebab sound better than Food? However I still make use of the categories as the main tag I would use. This way, people will not be too confused, they can still check out the main categories or tags I would say. Drop Down Get Link http://typedby.com/archives/category/word-press/ For people who are too lazy to even write a small snippet of code to handle dropdownlist of values derived from the database, this is for you. You can use it to put in values which are dynamically retrieved. In short, you can put your months archive, friends blogs in this simple dropdownlist, very simple. Counterize http://www.navision-blog.de/counterize I use this to track my stats of my blog, it is detail and when I say detail, I do mean in detail. Some of the things they feature: Unique visitors, hits, referers, search keywords ... etc, the tip top best stats tracking system. DB Manager http://www.lesterchan.net/portfolio/programming.php I find this much better than in built db backup by Wordpress. DB Manager allows you to customize your experience with your db. Instead of logging into your CPanel to edit/create/delete tables, you can do it in your admin page. But I use this mainly to backup my db, it is ever so important because you never know when you would screw up the site or that the host dies on you (impossible especially if you are using Trap17) This post has been edited by darran: Feb 8 2007, 04:25 PM |

Can anyone tell me a plugin for phone blogging besides PhoneBloggerz (something like that)? Thanks Good luck with your site! |

I would suggest the use of xspf player, it is a flash player which plays your music, you just need the direct url of the music file and you can play music directly on your blog while having this cool player. Only problem I think you would encounter is the copyright issue of the music you are playing, but if you are playing self-created ones then it should not be a problem.
