hello anyone whos been kind enough to view my thread
This is Bassicly the Alternative Music Society homepage which is still Heavily a WIP. Its bassicly going to be a source of information on the alternative music scene of worcester and a general palce for any people with alternative music views to join and chat. It doesnt currently have a forum but i'm workign on that It's made with Joomla!, and the theme is one i foudn and HEAVILY modified, to the point that its not recogniseable. I've got to change the navigation and colours of some backgrounds etc, add the content sections properly and intergrate a forum. . . .possibly SMF. BUT i might change direction and install community builder and intergrate Joomla Board. Theres also a few graphical glitches. It doesn't validate, but i've got it to work fine in IE, FF and Opera. It will feature: [+] Forum and user login/ control panel in main page [+] Latest Forum Posts module [+] Album Reviews [+] Show Reviews [+] Venue listing [+] Band of the week/month [+] News *(including YTMND off the day) [+] Latest show list anyways. . .. . don't rate it as yet. . . . just tell me what you think, and any other ideas you have for the site. http://www.tribunedesign.trap17.com/AMS2/ This post has been edited by cmatcmextra: Dec 17 2005, 11:08 AM |

Yes, I got the 404 error too. But I have some criticism on the 404 error page. The box is broken, try making a middle part of it as a background of the table cell.
Also, the contact webmonkey link doesn't work. |

First glance, and the page attracts my attention, that's always great.
The search shpuld always have an enter button, even though you can hit enter on your keyboard. The typical computer user will try to find stuff with their mouse first. The black and white striped bar on a white background takes away the effect. Also, make the background colour a grey and see how it looks, I don't like the white. Basically, too much dark grey for a white background, but a good design and layout. Keep up the good work |
