I have several new writing jobs, one is volunteer for a site called Mechie Tehcie, which is suppose to be the next top competitor in technological news. If the mods don't mind, I will be posting my articles here. These articles are written by me and can only be used with a link back to Mechie Techie, which is where I originally posted them, which is below and is included in the article. So anyway, I will be writing three technological articles per week, and will post maybe two here each week. If it is okay.

Good bye Windows XP and hello Windows Vista! Windows Vista, scheduled to be released in early 2007, will be the next available operating system from Windows. It's features include 3D viewing to look at several windows at the same time, by rotating them with the mouse wheel for easier viewing, and previewing windows by hovering over the taskbar icons. It will have Internet Explorer 7 on it, making this OS probably the most advanced on the market. Also coming along with it will be gadgets, simple applications, allowing you to get a wide variety of data, such as maps, weather, radio and more. These will be organized into a sidebar, almost like Google Desktop, allowing you to organize all these extras. The features on this OS are endless, and the goal of it is for the ease of using your computer. All in all, Windows is way ahead of itself on this one, and this means a new revolution, for Windows Operating Systems.

I have heard and seen some pictures of this new OS. It is going to be so totaly awesom! I want one when it comes out. but i have a feeling that Vista is going to be more than XP was when it first came out. The new features, the awesome looks, and all the new software that it comes with. I'm drooling! I think that all the computers that have XP will drop in price a lot when Vista come out. I can't wait!

I don't think the new Windows Vista will really be as "new" as Microsoft wants us all to believe. They started of showing us some really nice new features and stuff, but they later on got removed because they are too heavy, and they are also releasing a fully stripped version of the Operating System, which seems like no-one would even care to upgrade his software ;\

I heard that windows vista will have the same features as now and no new features. Only the operating System stabability will be 'great'. and it better be. Windows Vista is predicted to be releases Spring 2007. I cant wait.

It's been quite a while now since Microsoft announced there were plans for a new operating system. They then modified windows XP greatly, removed a couple of features, replaced by new ones and then changed the layout and fonts producing a completely new system. Whilst testing, they originally called this Windows Longhorn.

I don't know why they didn't keep the name as Windows Longhorn, as I feel this was a nice name and sounded different, it's new name, Windows Vista (which had the name change in one of the recent preview versions) sounds kinda boring in my opinion.

After all this testing and great modifying of Windows XP it will be a shame, and I'm sure Microsoft would find it a shame if they were unable to have longhorn/vista as their new operating system. It should be quite good, although I have to admit, I haven't really heard of anything that really stands out from windows XP. No doubt there will be something though.

This is my opinion on the new operating system. I don't know whether it will be called Windows Vista when it's finally launched (it might have another name change) but I'm pretty sure this will be the next operating system out for sale.

Congratulations! You're the new King of Old News! Development began on Vista during 2002. If you're going to write about technology you should probably write about things which are in development or possible new technologies. If you write about four-year-old operating systems then people will already know most of what you can say.

I've been following the development for windows vista for a while. On the user-end it doesn't seem like they have added very much. Just a GUI change and a few small things here and there. The jump from windows 98 to XP was really impressive, not so much from XP to vista.

Microsoft Office 2007 on the other hand had a lot of great improvements in my opinion. I really like the new version, although with all the changes in the user-interface it is going to take me a while to get used to it.

Well, itīs year 2006 and we all know what microsoft has to offer. A brand new mix of ripped features off Mac Os and Linux... itīs always the same. They never innovate a thing... so itīs another obvious update of their operating system, each time more based on image and less in real usability.

First of all i have to say, windows vista is gonna be like Flash 8 when it first was announced, i mean it has a whole of complete new features and it is for me one of the first times i can say it makes a great difference from the early versions of windows.

Before Windows Xp all the versions were kind of boring, and many times the OS freezed when doing nothing!! hehe... now with the Xp version we discovered a new feature that avoided those sort of things, including new icons and stuff very impressive.

Although basicly the OS remained with the same talking about task bar, main programs and maybe common errors. And now with this new version, more visual effects are being expected and it is not like the rest of the versions, i have a Win 2003 Computer and that pc have had many OS since win98 to the current one (2003) and sadly now the Win Vista won't be installed on it, why? well it seems that we will need even more memory in our video cards, something that doesn't have many of the actual version being sold in stores.

I think as JC05 thinks, it seems that all computers with Xp versions and below will be then much more cheaper that they are now, due to the themes and skins the new OS has, and unfortunately they will be cheaper just because the OS will be "old" and won't be compared to the "level" vista is at and because it will be the "new" version. Admit it! would you buy a pc with Win Xp SP1 or XP SP2? right SP2 why?? hahaha because SP2 must be better than SP1 although it has only one upgrade to the help system hehe....
