first you must know is SEO mean Search Engine Optimization for whose who don't know.
QUOTE SEO is one of the most effective things you can do online, getting your web site optimized in such a way that the search engines will reward you by basically sending traffic your way. SEO is not really that simple, but the bottom line is, if your page is optimized both on page and off, you generally get higher natural search engine rankings, which leads to traffic for you. If you’ve spent time online recently, you’ve probably read the term “SEO,” or “Search Engine Optimization. But what does it mean, exactly? “SEO” is a term that is used to describe the process by which traffic to a particular site is increasingly generated by search engines by way of search results. The quality of visitor traffic to a site can be measured by analyzing how often a visitor who uses a specific keyword phrase in a search actually performs what is known as a “conversion action.” That is, how often those visitors make a purchase, download materials, request information, or interact with the site in any other way that indicates interest in the product or service the site offers. Simply put, SEO is marketing through an understanding of how search algorithms work combined with a knowledge of what human users might search for. The end goal is to create a site that contains words for which people will likely search when looking for information such as that contained on your site. SEO is an extremely powerful tool online use is regularly to promote your website |

SEO is an extremely powerful tool online use is regularly to promote your website i've read your three seo posts and i must say you did an excellent job. it's good to see someone around that know his stuff and can help others. i'll have to disagree with part of this post though. i don't believe seo has anything to do with sales or converstion rates. sales and conversion rates of requested information etc has to do with the overall layout of your website which has nothing to with seo. it can have something to do with targeted visitors that may offer a higher conversion rate, but it still all depends on the layour of your page and how you code your page and with what. example....i good contact form page or a customer service chat box or good and just making a website more user friendly and interactive. i mean the biggest debate of all time in building a website is how to build it. for the reader or for the search engines and directories. they are different and you want to try to incorporate both but it's a give and take thing. if you want to include something on your website, you are usually taking something away from it(some other potential) anyway, good posts bud and welcome to trap17. since you know your stuff, maybe you can find your way over to http://www.trap17.com/forums/need-some-adv...ite-t53606.html and give some help and advice to estado3. i'm sure he would appreciate it as you seem very knowledgable. keep up the good posts. |

SEO is search engine optimization, which means that it s purpose is to optimize all the pages of a website in order to search engines index it, organize it, and put it in the top results.
The optimization can be done by using 3 points, and only this 3 points plus another that it is the most important: Keyword Popularity Keyword Density Page Rank (Inbound links, links from popular websites in google to our website) And the most important, the high quality information, products, services, anything that most people will love, will want to have, will want to read, will want to use, will want to buy, it must be original and very good, so you understand that people with original ideas have more chances to be in the top results of the top search engines which are google, yahoo, msn, windows live, ask.
