I write this pool not to affront web creators, programmers etc.
but to know how could we impruve our webpages reputation.

Answers explanation:
PopUp
Especially when more then one it's not to hard close one pop-up
Big Adds (
I mean those google, skreenserver banners at left right or top site side
Small Adds
"81x33" buttons, "powered by" buttons...
"ENTER" page
Nothing to explane
Fancy JavaScript stuffs
Foling snowflakes, following clock at mause pointer ,sparkles...etc.
Link to anbother page opens not in new window
When they give you link to some useful page but url's target is set to "_self" and then you must use "back" button to comeback
Copyed site style, information or source
Nothing to explane here
Site from templates
Don't you think that it's to easy to use it and creators off that site are not true webmasters
Automaticly opens another webpage
I mean when it automaticly opens few other pages
Intro flash movies
Those movies looks great but it just takes to long to download it.

Woooo, this list could go on for ever! The things I personally hate are:
  1. The entrance pages. Whats the point? OK, I've come to your site only to be given a large button labelled Click To Enter. Never really understood the point.
  2. Annoying javascript. OK a clock may be useful, but a clock following your mouse made out of ASCII art??
  3. Copying information. If you can't write your own stuff, don't have a website. You wouldn't walk up to a Picasso and say "I painted that", so don't do it to other peoples content.
  4. Automatically opening web pages. Their hit counter goes up, but they know that most of those hits are people forcibly having the page opened and then closing it 2 seconds later. Another commonly annoying use for javascript.
  5. Loads of animated GIFs. Even on broadband a whole page full of unhelpful and pointless animated GIFs can take a while to load, and its even more frustrating when the images didn't need to be animated anyway!
Sorry I sound a bit angry, I am trying to finish my geography coursework for the end of next week! sad.gif

I hate bank websites that don't work in all browsers. I mean, come on, banks make HEAPS of money and yet they can't pay for a web development team that does their job properly. dry.gif

Quite often that first page has browser detection javascript in it and that 'Enter' link is generated depending on what browser you're using.

There are very many things that can make a website be painfull to look at or not very nice to navigate. One of the things that really bothers me is the javascript stuff. As you said snowflakes, stuff that follow the mouse or maybe even a diffrent pointer.

Another thing that is really anoying is background imagease that are bigger than lets say 300x300 and dont flow in with each other. i mean if you use a texture its fine even though that also can look crap if its to extravagant. Then big images like photographs or graphics that dont have a uniform color and dont flow into each other.

What can also be anoying is animates gifs for a background. what ive seen sometime latly is a flashing star (about 100 x 100px) tiled on the backgroung flashing and flash anf flashing and urg thats so annoying.

Now as to some of the things you mentions i dont really find very anoying. The Powered by buttons are ok in my opinion. i mean they arnt very big and if they hasent used a CMS or something the site would probably not be as good as it is. (get what i mean? O.o)

But then again stuff that arnt good when using a CMS or a Forum like phpBB is using the standart template that comes when you install it. i mean there are many templates for all kind of messages boards and usualy you dont even have to download them and upload them to install them.

and thats about all i have to say about that. smile.gif

That's a first for me, I thought they were just there to annoy you and pee you off tongue.gif

Anyway, yes, the 'enter' button really annoy me and if the site has absolutely loads of pop-ups, one or two fine. But since I started using Mozilla Firefox, it's fine anyway biggrin.gif

And I hate those full screen pop-unders, UGH, what the hell is the point?

The fancy javascript stuff is bugging me alot lately, the stuff that follows the mouse as you said mad.gif

This list really could go on forever as rvalkass said..

Hmmm... interesting.
Yes, I agree with quite alot of the aspects of websites that shouldn't be used, as you've mentioned. Flashy animated .gifs is my worst enemy! tongue.gif and flashy backgrounds---YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING! Yep, I don't like the sites with backgrounds that don't tile either, they make the website look cluttered and in a way... "cheap", if you know what I mean.

Oh yes, I hate the comic sans font as well. It is so boring and to me it looks lumpy! I remember that I used the font before on my school assignments and stuff when I was in yr 7 or 8, but then I stopped using it, but I never used it on my website, it just made the site look very....uuuhh.

Oh, and don't start me on javascript, that is a bad choice, I really dislike javascript because it takes a lot of time to load and also the scripts are long, once you paste them into your site, you would have to keep on scrolling to get to the point where you last edited! I try my best to avoid using javascript but I suppose sometimes it is useful when I have small spaces for navigation but other than that, it is really bad. But I totally agree with the floating snowflakes and flashing stars though. mad.gif

Wow, I've written quite a lot already but I am yet to finish my post though, oh well I guess I'll have to continue then.

Ads! I don't like ads and especially those ads that are on your site which advertises these products and services that don't even correspond to what your site is about!! They are so stupid, but I guess, again, if they are offering free services to webusers than I guess thay do need to advertise to retain the free services. But, I mean, at least list the ads that actually has something to do with your website!!

To me, I think the enter signs are OK in a way... I like the idea of creating an entrance to your site, so on that page you can list all the button rotations and credits and stuff so that you don't have to make a seperate page in your site to accomodate that info, but I do realise how irritating it is if someone has a slow internet connection and it takes them ages to load a page, but then only to find another page awaits for them to click-and load again!

Pop-up layouts are quite annoying as well, because if you have pop-ups blocked and are unaware of it. You suddenly find your self clicking on this damn link for about an hour and nothing ever opens or loads, then you have the trouble of finding where your blocker is and then turning it off, and THEN clicking on the link again!

I don't really like premade layouts on sites as well. You know that feeling you get when you come to this website and then you just suddenly fall in love with the content at this site and in the end you notice this very small lettering on the layout saying "Layout designed by XXXXX". You suddenly find yourself a fool to have liked such a site where the owner doesn't even know how to design a layout. And also those thousands of sites on the web that design premade layouts aren't helping webusers either, thats just encouraging people to be lazy and not unique.

Wow, this post is coming into the 3100 character mark, I think I better stop, but that doesn't mean that the things about a websites I don't like has stopped, no-way! I just have to take a little rest until I start getting angry at those websites again. wink.gif

I actually hate links that pop up in a new window. I use Firefox. So it's really irritating. They should make it pop up in a new tab instead.
