I haven't really used my cPanel because my hosting is mainly used for a mailing list (for the time being). When I headr of the potential password breach I tried to log on but my attempts failed. I know the details are right since I saved the details in a txt file. Even more peculiar is that I can still log in via FTP. I tried to reset my password but got a error message stating that my password could not be changed.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

As far as I know, the admins are on it and will contact you asap, as they did with my CPanel.

It appears that it was indeed changed. Like the others I noticed a different IP login (99.229.68.98)

Well the password problems all stem from the fact that people used simple passwords that got brute force from someone in Vietnam, however, the ip number you gave is from Canada the Vietname one starts at 222. Just read the topic posted by buff about the situation and if your password is not working assume the worse and pm the information that is needed to set up your password.

Well it's fixed now (with a much stronger password).

I've always had a 74 IP, hmm...

I would say try typing your user name in lowercase. I don't know for sure if this will work but it seemed to work after my password change. Good luck.
