Nice introduction. I presume you will build on that and make the intro a link to your main site.

Good Points:

[+] Your background is simple.
[+] You can see what your page is about as soon as you go on
[+] Good use of graphics

Things to think about:

[+] Black text doesn't go on your background - change it to an off-white
[+] 1/2MB image in the middle - safe it in a smaller size
[+] PNG image in the middle - safe it as a different format. Older ie browsers don't support it very well.

Points to note:

When you're designing a website you should know what browsers your users are using and from that learn their weak and strong points and work out the code you should use from that. It's essential that almost every code can be run in almost every browser. I'm not saying update all your code every month, just write new code for the new statistics smile.gif

Mark:

8/10

Good intro very simple. Dont realy like the picture though. Are you going to make a hyperlink to your main site? The image format is not very good i would put it as a gif or jpeg. If you go to your main site is trap17.com your sponser, your links dont work at all and is poorly presented.

I'd give it a 5/10 because it has no content. At first, I thought the page was a splash page, but there are no links on the image. Also, the image is not really centered, so it gives your page an amateur-ish feeling...

You've used a blocked background and you've tried to implement the same look onto your image by reducing the transperancy of the image at a few places adding the same background behind the image. Now the alignment doesn't quite match when you look at the blocks of the background and the image. I hope you get what I'm trying to point out. Another thing; the text on the image isn't very readable and required a hard stare to get the words communicated. If that could be fixed, it would show much more friendliness towards the person browsing the website.

None the less, I think you've done a great work placing what you want to get through using your splash page as a medium (and that's exactly what it should do). Nice job. smile.gif

Hi Saint_Michael ,
Nice graphic.
Agree that the homepage is too dark.. & text needs some contrast..
I couldn't even find the "intro".. maybe your changing it when I was looking.
Anyway.. if your going to keep the darker kind of background.. then definitely the other elements on the page need contrast .. so they "pop" out at you & finding them is easier.. You know how impatient people are.. if they can't see it immediately (approx 8 sec. or less) then they just go elsewhere. At least thats what all the "experts" say about graphics & layout.
just some thoughts.

This site needs alot of work. The colors are just too dark. I mean I understand if the background is dark and all, but dark text and dark backgrounds equals bad news [ this also goes for light text on light backgrounds ]. The picture on the splash screen page is very hard to see, and looks very awkward on that blocky background. The content and layout of the site is much to be desired as well. None of the links on the left side work, and the layout of the page itself is kind of a turn-off.
In my opinion, this is not a very compelling site. Put more effort into it,
and it will turn out great.
