The GIMP 2, although I can't say it is as good as photoshop, comes pretty darn close, and makes up for it's faults for it's scriptability. It has an ultra-handy script which automatically makes an image tile seamlessly. |

I don't enjoy paying $700 to buy photoshop, so I'm sure that link will help me out. Good job man.

SourceForge has alot of good open source projects. You can also download a free sound editor called Audacity, which you can use instead of buying SoundForge.
