while i was changing the dns records to

ns1.trap17.com , ns2.trap17.com

the domain is still working with the previous host , i know that updating the dns records takes about 24 hours but , does that mean that the two hosts will work togather ?? or meant that updating the dns records was not done successfully ?? or what ? or it is normal and after the updating is complete the domain will just work with the new (trap17's) host ?

icleric, if ur domain name is pointed to another host before transferring it to trap17 and that old host is still working, the old host will be where all references to your domain name will be directed (because that is where the OLD DNS records are pointed). AFTER propagation of the new DNS settings of your domain name within the next 24/48 hrs after your update (in this case to trap17's nameservers), all references will be to your trap17 hosting. smile.gif so while DNS propagation is not yet complete, you can prepare your content for trap17 already to make it ready for upload later. smile.gif

(otherwise, you have to use the direct IP address of trap17 hosting if you
want to upload AHEAD of complete DNS propagation.)
