Well this I find quite interesting and dumb at the same time. Ernie Chambers, Senator of Nebraska, says he is suing God because he has caused many catastrophes like hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, etc; that have caused many deaths and much damage in the world to innocent people. He is doing this because he is upset by all of the stupid cases he sees in the courtroom, like this lady suing because she wasn't allowed to say words like "rape" and "victim" in a trial which she said violates her freedom of speech.
This is sort of funny but also a waste of time. It's not that people just like making big deals out of stupid problems, or harmless problems, but they just want to make money out of it. That's the drive out of most people. We hear pointless cases everyday but the accusers have valid arguments and make millions of dollars out of it. I think this case is just going to get people to question why they haven't done this before. Because really anyone could sue God I guess but I don't know who's going to defend him, and how they are going to get money out of him seeing that he made everything so all of the money in the world should go to this senator? I don't understand really how this trial is going to work. Good luck to the senator in proving his point though. Are they even allowing him to sue God? If they are, then they are just as stupid as he is.

No smart person will ever let this go to trial, although this is not the first time people have tried to sue god. Some of those lawsuit were either based on if he/she/it is real or not, and people like that senator from Nebraska, so its nothing new it just hasn't been done in a real long time. All I can say is that this senator's career is over, and if some judge actuallly lets this go through OMG I will sue that judge for wasting time and money on something as stupid as this.

Uh oh... God better get his lawyers. I mean, heaven isn't a cheap place to live. If this Ernie Chambers succeeds, God might not have enough money and the bank might repo heaven! Imagine the outcry! I mean souls need a place to go, and if they don't have God's pad to party in, where are they gunna go? Hell i guess, but that place is boring, full of businesses and office workers who sit in a 5 by 5 cubical all day staring at a computer screen. No place to have a little fun!

That senator is doing this for attention, this is just a tactic as everybody knows. Its pointless and stupid. I don't know why negative publicity is good. He is probably going to get kicked out of the Senate, watch! If he didn't know, a majority of America believes in God. He can kiss my behind. Nebraska isn't going to settle for this.

I'm not very sure that he will get kicked out of the senate that easily. Politicians do all sorts of jokes and nonsense and stay where they were. I'm not pointing fingers, but I'm sure you can see a lot of them prominent in wherever you live.
I'm not going to comment on the benefits of Capitalism, because I know there are a lot of benefits to it. However, the negative aspects of Capitalism is the lack of ethics. While I'm definitely not very supportive of an overly enforced Socialist system, I do believe that some socialist systems work pretty well. Canada is an example of a Democratic Socialist country, where private corporations are allowed, but there are only a few that are well known in the market. As a result, these corporations have specific business rules set out by the government due to their size. As a result, I think Canadians are quite ethical, and crime is very rare in Canada, even though police and military forces barely exist. I believe that to really have a perfect ideology that can prevent this nonsense is simply having one with ethical people, whether it's full out capitalism or not. Which one can really achieve it? No one really knows... |

I think he is trying to prove a point that our policies have gone waaaaay too far recently, and the whole sueing thing has gone too far. If the only way people will pay attention to this is through him making a fool out of himself, so be it. I applaud him if this is what he's doing. If not, well, he's probably just another nut we shouldn't have elected anyways.

Okay now this is really hilarious. XD What if the judge turns out to be an Atheist? "Dude, you can't sue your imaginary friend!"

I am quite much surprised WE don't have such stupid politicians here in India. I mean it's India, worse politicians I used to think. But some recent stupidity has proved otherwise. |
