Hello,
my hosting account at qupis is http://friendsunit.qupis.com
I am unable to CHMOD/edit/delete .. lots of files and folders. though i haven't yet tried out everything... But i wanted to add some files to my current theme. I have been unable to do so.. Please see to it.

jlhaslip is correct. Have you tried to CHMOD via cpanel or FTP? If you tried using FTP chances are file(s) were locked for some reason or other. But if you tried via cpanel and could not change you should contact Qupis support line.

There's a good chance that your account might have been in read only mode during a quick upgrade to the server.
