I tried joomla for creating a new personal website for me. Its very easy to setup , only thing u require a little bit knowledge of MYSQL and PHP.

That's right, what makes Joomla very special that it's a good Open Source Content Management System, so you can use it to build websites either very simple ones or the most professional to complicated ones, if you want to know full details about it they have a link in their website refering to another one in which you can buy the book "Building websites with Joomla", that's a kind of donation to Joomla and it's voluntary.
