First, some questions:
What FTP program do you use?
Are you certain you use the correct login info?
Where do you upload your files to?
What extension do you use for your files? (.htm .php .asp)
What port are you connecting to?

These are just a few questions that, if answered, should help all of us to help you on your way.

1+2: Basically, with every ftp program you use, you have to provide a username, password and port, in the case of Trap 17, your username is your cPanel username and pass is cPanel pass, port i cant remember

if you answered questions 1 and 2, you have to know where to upload your files to, if you connected correctly you should be in your www folder, this is not the place to upload your files to, browse through your WWW and go to your public_html in there you upload your files, if, for example, you upload index.htm to your public_html, the correct address to surf to is:
http://www.your-name.trap17.com/index.htm

Hope this helps..

Port 21 is correct and if you can see some folders you got your login info correct.
If you get to the 'root' of your FTP account (keep clicking the Folder Up button until you can't any more) you should see some folders. Among them should be two called 'public_html' and 'www'. You need to upload your web pages to one of those folders (one is a mirror of the other, so it doesn't matter which), and make sure that you have a file called index.htm or .html or .php etc.
Tell us if that helps.

Hello

please dont use any software just use any Browser right now use IE .

1) write in browser ftp://ftp.domain name if your domain point to your exact server otherwise use ftp://IP(server IP)

2) go to File --> Click on Login As

3) enter your username and password

4)You can see root folder of your domain then if you have Window Server hosting then go "wwwroot" and Linux Server Hosting then go to "Public_html" folder

5) Just copy paste your file(html,asp,php...) in wwwroot or public_html. (CARE-- Not copy file in Zip content or any compressed file )
